Alrite Peeps, According to newspaper reports Billy Sharp does not seem to be on McDermotts radar. Sharp, 27, is set for a move away from St Marys was rumoured that he may link up with former manager McDermott, but the wantaway striker does not seem to be on McDermotts shopping list. Thoughts? Too expensive? Neil Warnock has hit back at his critics saying he saved Leeds from the dogs.... He said: "It was hard work for me because Ken always made the statements that I signed every player that I wanted, so that must have been one of his good days. I didn't buy anywhere near the players I wanted - I could have given him five or six I tried to sign." "But he wanted to sell it [Leeds] and i think I steadied the ship. For all the people who were demonstraintg against him, I think if I hadn't have come in, he wouldn't have sold it. I think it would have gone to the dogs, really." Warnock said he was the man who brought in the new owners and so the timing of Bates' comments were "typical Bates". He said: "You could say I was his biggest salesman - he didn't make those comments then, when he needed me. I wish he did fire me back in October because I had two or three great offers."
Morning Elland. Whilst we can agree to disagree on Bates' contribution to the history of Leeds, Warnock is just one mouthy to$$er who should learn to shut up. He bought in plenty of players & collectively they weren't good enough. Yes he had to sell Howson, Becchio & Snodgrass. But with all his experience, we should at least have made top 6. Anyone's granny's Mum's cleaner's boyfriend's sister claim to spot a potential new recruit hanging around Thorp Arch for a medical by any chance?

As that nice lot in the East Midlands have found out, it's not all about spending vast sums to get you promoted. If BMD can find another Snodgrass, Beckford, or CM/CB equivalent (class act from non league or L1/2), I'd be more than content. Too much money currently being paid for no marks and average players. Pity we either weren't in for Billy Sharp or can't afford him. Thought he would have been a very useful addition. Mind you, what do I know? I'm still waiting for Billy Paynter to be called up to the England 1st XI & save the day for Hodgson as he scores the winner in the final of the world cup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Morning all. Colin is a proper numpty, we really should stop talking about him. Billy Sharp probably too expensive for us, the fact that we have signed / are linked with free transfers pointing that way. We are linked with Doyle, expect Wolves will let him go on a free to help his new club fund his £25k a week salary, and he's not going to be joining a Prem club so Wolves have a big problem, as he will cost them a minimum of £2.6m over the next two seasons. Can only see Leeds signing him on a reduced wage. However, in McD we trust, regardless who he signs!!!
Morning all. Has anyone considered Warnock could be telling the truth? Seems fairly plausible to me. After all, everyone complained Bates and then GFH didnt back him financially. He now confirms it and hes slated for it. Usual syndrome with some Leeds fans, once a player or manager leaves Leeds he can be only bad. Now to settle down and wait for what will surely be a big name next signing. Notice my lot's reserve team only lost two nil to the world champions last night. Surely makes us on of the top six world footballing powers right now. My thinking is based on SKY logic which of course might be slightly flawed. I also couldn't be bothered typing commas today

Agree Boggers, IN McD WE TRUST!! Sakho, I also still feel Sharp showed us an up yours when he chose Donny, and then larged it up when he scored against us. Would have to score plenty if he came here!!
As mentioned previously, I've not been around for a while so can someone tell me how many players BMD has gotten off the books? because if we're still looking for freebies then we either have no pot to piss in, or have a huge squad. Are there any other kids coming through that will do a job this coming season. I know he brought Poleon back early, but don't think he's the answer and the Gimpel kid was not a good as everyone said ....
Only caught the last 15 minutes Eire and we were one down. Thought we'd equalized, but we rarely get the decisions against the bigger sides. With the side that was playing I thought we played quite well... When are the Irish lads joining the mighty Whites?
I know Sharp gets the goals, I can't fault him there, but I hold grudges. But saying that if Maccer goes and gets him I'll support the player and decision 100%

Hopefully soon. Last decent team we had, we had Kelly, Harte and Keane. Dont think anyone can fault any of those. As Ive previously said, I'd far prefer to see Irish lads signing up than the likes of Habibou or whatever, with no track record of English footie and judging by his twitter account, barely has a wordof english. Cant ever understand how someone can be a success who cant communicate with his team mates
True but if we sign Hunt and Smith then we can kiss goodbye to anyone like Sharp joining us, we will have our strikers for next season. Besides the window not being open hasn't prevented other pending offers to be announced by other teams
