never the same after it changed to 606. fans forum was class until they started the 3 minutes rule etc
Three minute rule, no posting about any subject apart from the topic at hand (ie. football, tennis, cricket etc), no posting on other team's boards regardless of how genuine you are (I once got a thread removed for asking English fans on the international football page if they thought they had a chance of winning the world cup.) Typical BBC ****ers. On the old football forum we had debates ranging from favourite Simpson's quotes to whether Nervous Bear had really attended Last Night of the Proms wearing a Union Jack suit. Those were real debates!
This site is miles better anyway... After posting freely since January, going back to BBC606 was totally useless! 3 minute rule? ...the man is right in the article - it is out-dated but will forever hold a dear place in our hearts for starting many a ball rolling. Adios BBC606.
Maybe to keep the nostalgia around and that way it will attract most users from 606. Or maybe they think that most people who used that site don't use forums such as this (which is the format that most forums are like) and so the transition will be easy for those people as they will not need to get used to a different layout. Does ja606 also have a three minute rule?
ja606 has a rule that every article must be boring as **** with half the posts deleted! Oh and it only works for 3.5 hours a day
HTML: ja606 is a pile of old semen filled with methane then heated on to a marshmellow. actually that sounds quite nice...
You can still comment on the link above. Try posting on a forum and you get "Sorry, you can only contribute to 606 during opening hours. These are 0900-2300 UK time, seven days a week, but may vary to accommodate sporting events and UK public holidays." Couldn't even be bothered to change the message.
