Dog owners who expect you to love their "little darlings" too as they jump up at you with muddy paws or scratch your legs to **** if you're wearing shorts.
    My ****ing cats.
The mouse that was running around my bedroom at 3am this morning (brought in by one of the ****ing cats).
Shop assistants who never say please or thank you.
    Noisy kids.
    Noisy teenagers.
    Moody teenagers.
    Tailgaters.
    Sarcastic teenagers.
Workmen who expect tea every 5 mins.
    Yapping dogs.
Owners of yapping dogs who do nothing to stop them ****ing yapping.
    Getting old!!

I don't expect anything, but if you're going to offer it do it properly or not at all!! And most OCW's get offended when you bring your own kettle in 4 hours later to make another one, all the while they've made themselves countless other teas/coffees!! If you're such a tight arse col, that 10p's worth of teabags breaks you out in a sweat I hope you never ask for my services! It's not just about tradesmen either. It's about common decency and manners when people are in your house to offer a drink/drinks dependant on time there. I'll never understand that....

See................you EXPECT it!! Ridiculous. Bring a flask!!
I always offer workmen (or any visitor to the house) a drink, but some (like you) expect offers of tea all day long. Get on with the job!!

Am I the only one that is happy to let the plumber or whoever help themselves to tea and biscuits?

That's fine. It's not the same as that same plumber complaining that he's not being fed and watered every 5 mins!

I know. If I was a workman I wouldn't expect on the hour every hour service but if you aren't going to let them make their own surely it's courteous to offer, say, one every 2-3 hours.

I knew it, a tight arse!! Mean spirited tight arse!! Any idiot knows that the better you treat a workman, the more he is willing to do for you! He'll often do stuff for free that he should be charging for!!

You're spot on Watford, only col has brought up the every 5min thing on here. I'm usually on site 8.30am to 6.30pm. Is 3 cups in 10hrs gonna kill a customer?

People that take offence at what they want you to have said or believe rather than what you actually did say or believe because that suits their own prejudices.

I always provide blokes working in my house tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, cocaine anything they want. I see it as a form of insurance.

I have even been nice to the blokes taking a century to renovate the house over the road, moving my car without swearing to help their access. I was rewarded with six bottles of wine at Christmas from the owner of the company doing the work. Decent stuff too. For a cynical miserable old git like me a salutary lesson that being angry a lot of the time may not be the best policy.

People who walk up to the ticket barriers and only then deciding to start rummaging in their bag for their oyster.

Ditto women (99 times out of 100) who get to a till and then realise they actually have to pay for their goods and spend two minutes rummaging for their purse in the middle of the Narnia that exists in their massive handbag.
