You are of course spot on. However, would he be moaning about the British press & regaling a tale of some scalls harmlessly having a laugh at his expense (in Manchester ), if he hadn't been tapped up by Real Madrid & had no intention of moving anywhere? Would he **** - he'd be sat happily taking his £120k a week & you'd have not heard a peep out of him. Instead, he's lifting his skirts to Madrid with the subtlety of a street whore. I think it's disingenuous & an insult to the intelligence of kopites tbf, if he wants to move then he should have the courage of his own convictions & say he just fancies it & not try & dress it up as the press hounding him out.
Hahaha I didn't mean bumping is a load of **** - just meant the story is no different to what we already knew but gives us fans another day of anger
@LBCeleste: If anyone is on twitter go to this person. They have translated the latest Suarez interview including the actual questions. (Starts about 4hrs ago from time of this post) So not only that context, there is more of the sense of the build up of his frustration shall we say. I'm not saying its changes my mind because he needed to be this human over here but I'll accept that it may have been impossible of him to relax or trust a uk journo enough to do this. Maybe the English barrier is still more of a problem than we imagined. Still doesn't mean I don't think he's brought a lot of it on his own head but I can sympathise as to why he feels singled out....because comparatively he has. He just doesn't realise it's the total of his actions not the individual ones that is the issue.
Fair point and no argument, except this - even before the Evra business the press (or certain papers and journalists, to be accurate) have tried, and have now succeeded, in hounding him out. The bite on Ivanovich though sums it all up: he, the club, the supporters, his advisors all knew this but he still couldn't stop himself. He can't change and he won't change. But unless you're saying the bite on Ivanovic was some calculated manouvre to obtain his scheming desire (you're not, are you?) and that compared to Defoe, Terry, Ferdinand and a whole host of others he's been crucified by comparison for similar offences, I think he has a right to say he's being/been hounded out, regardless of whether a move to Madrid takes his fancy. I, for one though, will not be dictated to and manipulated by scum rags like the Mail, the Mirror and the ****ing Sun, expressing faux outrage that the club that supported him through the Evra stitch up (only until the press said they'd toxify the NESV brand, mind you) and its fans should now be angry at him. Arseholes, and any true fan should know this too - the enemy is the media, and pricks like Lawton, Samuel, Winter, Holt et al in particular. It'll be Sturridge next, or aspas if he's any good, or whoever - but now they've got the taste for blood they'll be back again and again until we **** them off, just wait and see.
