Chadwick yes, Feeney no. Compared to Cureton, Howe, Akinfenwa, Cunnington (too late) or Barnes-Homer to name but a few NO NO NO. Aiming for mediocrity should be Akkerons slogan. When we said we wanted a 20 goal striker we meant over a season not career, he may surprise us and hit Rotherham form but even then he did not manage 20 last few seasons suggest that is unlikely though.

The Mexi pressure has told and Sheridan has finally awoken from his slumber...

Lewis Allessandra 24 winger/striker has agreed to join us on July 1 after turning down a new contract with Morcambe. Played for Sheridan at Oldham and seems a regular starter for Morcambe last year chipped in with a couple of goals too. Not signed but seems a done deal get that pen to paper Lewis and make me update that squad sheet.

Obviously Sheridan knows this lad and feels he can do a job for him.......one more building block in Sheridans own team.

Quite positive on this one Plym, had a good scoring record when first on the scene but seems to have been pushed out wide. Rated highly at Morcambe and from Sheridans comments it sounds like he may push him back into a more central striker role. As we know to well nothing guaranteed with any signing but for the me this is the calibre of player we need to be signing and at a good age too.

I'd agree with that mexijan. Not a world stopping signing but at least it isn't an over the top sick note type. Sheridan knows him and I trust his judgement so far. Another half dozen of the same sort and that will do me.

Latest news on Swindons Luke Rooney is that Portsmouth are definately interested......also Swindon are trying to off-load as well injured Lee Cox with Oxford a possible club that are showing interest.......there was talk that Sheridan was interested in both of these players......a fit Cox would surely be welcomed back to Home Park.

It seems that John Sheridan is on the verge of clinching a season long deal to bring Rueben Reid back to Home Park.

Still think that we need a regular goal scorer as well as Reid and Lewis Allessandra, someone who can score twenty goals a season, surely that isn't too much to ask.

Would help to take the pressure off a reasonable defence.....we were one of the lowest goal scoring clubs in the 4th tier for goodness sake last season !!!

With players returning on June 26th for pre-season training John Sheridan is still waiting to hear from Onismor Bhasera regarding his new contract offer.

Bhasera should have replied by last Monday (19th), Sheridan says that he is not fazed by the delay, but hopes that Bhasera will re-sign as he is a valued squad player and was voted player of the year last season.

Jamie Cureton leaves Exeter and signs a one year deal with Cheltenham Town.

Jamie said that he was happy at Exeter but they couldn't offer him a contract.

Second in Div2 after Pope with 21 goals last season.

I just wonder if he could have done a one year job for us......seeing how desperate we have been for goals in recent years.

We will never know plym and worrying about what might be with different players is a bit pointless isn't it. I'm more concerned with who we do sign eventually and what job they actually do for us.

Charles has signed I believe Plym, Luton have been busy boys along with a couple of other teams too.

At least 2 new signings by Monday at Home Park, straight from the horses mouth, 153% certain, bet your house on it, without a doubt, definite maybe.

Reuben Reid 24 yrs old joins Argyle on a season long loan from Yeovil.....expected.....but will he score more than one goal every nine games as he did last time.

Maybe not the answer to our goal scoring problems.....who else will come in ?

Next season will be his.........18 goals minimum. I quite like Reid as it goes. He at least works bloody hard and only needs a kick start I think with a bit more luck. I read a post from somebody elsewhere who described him as lazy. You can accuse him of some things but certainly not lazy.
