The trouble with some of our fans on here is the fear of what you dont know or have not heard of is wrong, it cannot be any worse than what has been served up this season, i would like nothing better than to see a team full of british players , but its not going to happen as there is no talent to be had any more,so whole sale changes must take place in the direction we are going, as del boy says .............. this time next year rodney.
exactly, its time to move on, they are just not an option ,thats the way the prem has gone . it used to be every team had a couple of overseas players ,but now its reversed
Its more exciting, Lots of English players out there atm but out of our league. We have been chasing the league from the wrong end for many seasons with this "Patriotic" view. Change is needed and I have no issues with it being foreign players, Aslong as they play with their hearts and heads for Sunderland ( The same as our even better than a home grown talent ). It doesnt matter where your from as long as we are all following the same dream, ofc dreams are best shared ( Does it matter where they come from? If all want the same thing for the club ) Edit - Why is this something that should fear you? Change is scary and makes you nervous maybe at the most but fear?
not in my eyes no , i find it very exciting and am looking forward to the future and whats to come, thrills ,spills and points i hope. dont mind getting beat its how you get beat is important ,winning ,losing thats footy. got to be good for the shirt sales , new names , new songs, new hope
No problem with mercinaries (foreign players here for the money)as long as they either do very well for us and want to leave to go to a bigger club or make us money...No value at all in the British market.
It's just insecurities about the unknown, perfectly natural. I'm on the fence personally but looking on full of excitement. Why does it bother you so much that it warrants it's own thread?
why has anything got a thread , its a football chat forum isnt it, where does it say im bothered, as long as its within the forum rules i will post what i wish , or do i now have to have your approval
as it is , we do not have much choice , but in general every body is in the same boat, good we have moved quickly . cant wait
Can't remember the last time I wanted a season to start so quickly, usually I'm dreading it & can't wait till it's over, I think things will be a lot more positive next season with some decent performances & results
When you have said this 39 times (more for some on here) and after 39 failures, then you too might view things with far more scepticism. I've had more 5 year plans than Michael Parkinson has advertised for Sunlife Insurance. I have all the hope but none of the expectations these days and especially after the utter failure of my number one on my longtime wish list manager MoN, I am even more despondent, although I desperately hope PDC can change those decades of failure, you will have to forgive me for not being as excited as some.
have you really seen 39 managers at safc, christ cest you are older than dr who, without hope there is nothing , its better than expectancy as that only breaks your spirit, top half not much to ask

Next year will be my 38th full season (39th if you count a few games in 1974/75 season) and I have seen 20 managers and 7 caretakers in 39 years. Thats a new face as manager every 1.44 years during my time. Old? Yep. Cynical? Totally. Convinced about PDC? Not yet.
