Virtually all our recycling gets loaded up on a giant environmental hazard of a ship and carted off half way around the world to China, to which they recycle it into consumer product s**t and send it back to us on a giant environmental hazard of a ship at a much higher price!!
Done some work for the bloke who founded pret a manger. Nice bloke, owns the Hoxton hotel as well. He sold most of the shares in to McDonald's years ago, money on offer to good to turn down. Worked on his stately home for a week and didn't get offered a single sandwich though, b*****d...... ;-)
On the money with cyclists.....On the main road between Waterford & Tramore there is a 7 mile cycle lane on both sides of the road that is wide enough to drive a car .....but what do the cyclists do? they ignore it and cycle on the bloody road which has an almost continuous white line so overtaking is hazardous at the best of times..... Another one....Call centres based in India.......
Thats got me onto another one, Ikea shops, am I the only one that can see they are designed to keep you there for weeks on end. They are the worst designed shop ever, you have to go on a 4 mile hike just to leave the ****ing place.
I recommend stopping dead and turning your back on them as though you're looking back at something, else stoop to do up your shoelaces or fumble for your knob in your trousers.
The provision of too many disabled parking bays in public car parks and at supermarkets, as well as the fact that they put them immediately outside the entrance. The disabled mafia fight to be treated the same as the able-bodied, so either make all the bays the same size and dispense with disabled bays altogether, or put them some distance away from the shop door. Most of the buggers I've seen using them seem perfectly able to sprint 100 meters inside 15 seconds. Obese people smoking whilst driving along in their shopmobility vehicle, which is slowly being subsumed by their fat arses.
You can park in disabled bay legally in supermarket car parks as long as they arent council owned. Speaking of which, the woman who took my car park spot because it was closest to the flat entrance. She said she was disable which you might think is fair enough but she lives on the 3rd floor and cant walk an extra 5 yards to get to her normal spot? She even got the owners to put hi vis strips on the steps as she cant see them but drives a bloody car!
I should have mentioned that many of these disabled bays appear to be permanently empty too. Flippin' quotas, I guess. I think I'll write to the Mail, eh Flyer?
