not Blissett......I mean the TV programme. starts again in July. best thing on TV by a country mile. and to make this thread not completely O/T, Dudgeon loves it too!
It is brilliant. They have been repeating them on that 'alibi' channel recently. Though if I am honest, in terms of current crime dramas, I prefer Sherlock. That is back on in the autumn I think.
I do like Sherlock but love the slightly twisted, dirty, quirkiness of Luther. and Alice is smoking hot, for a lass that brutally murdered her parents of course!
Those are the same reasons I like it as well... Personally, for me though, nothing will beat Life On Mars. Gene Hunt is a ****ing legend.
Not seen it but I'm still counting the days for Breaking Bad to return. Stupid Americans and their year long mid-season break.
Has anyone seen "Black Mirror" which starts here in Oz tomorrow - 3 part mini series. It won the Emmy for best mini-series last year. It is about someone who kidnaps a Royal Princess and demands that the Prime Minister sh@gs a live pig on television or she gets it!!!??? The thought of David Cameron having to do this really got me cr@pping myself. Is it worth watching?
The only series I watch(ed) are(were): Spartacus, Game of Thrones (which is brilliant I might add), Falling Skies and Luthor. Very enjoyable and currently taking up all the room on my Sky+ Planner.
The Americans new to ITV is very promising thus far. Im surprised its not on Sky Atlantic, which would very much be its natural home. Hannibal is good on there, amazing production levels and more like a mega long film than a tv series. And back on Luther, Idris was much better in the peerless Wire.
I was catching up on some recorded episodes of Hannibal last night. I'm not sure what to make of it at the moment, but will stick with it for now
Aye, I think I left it too late between watching the previous episodes and last night as I had clearly forgotten some details. I will stick with it though
It is, he's very funny. I saw most of the Black Mirror stuff, not all. It's comedy in the darkest sense, he's mainly tried to be really twisted. It's different, let's say.
Charlie Brooker is one of my fave comedians. Very dark and cynical. I personally liked the sketch-type shows such as How TV Ruined Your Life and Mindwipe. He is great on 10 O'Clock Live as well. Him and David Mitchell are great.
season 5 just out on DVD.just in time for fathers day if they were listening to the hint.season 6 opens in US mid August. Just re watching them all up to season4 .
I think Charlie Brooker's ****, he's got the most irritating tone in his voice, I think he ruins the 10 O'clock show.
