Seems increasingly likely Wojciech Pawlowski will be coming to watford next season. another pole in goal
According to this article The Prince has been released by Watford. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/...-rangers-for-prince-buaben-and-morgaro-gomis/
A new signing apparently - first for the new season. http://inthewolfsmouth.com/2013/06/06/incoming-arie-ammann/ Probably not what people were expecting.....
According to the WO 11,000 season tickets are likely to be sold. Hope I will be able to get in when the chance comes round again.
I can't translate this but it looks like the Pozzo's have slapped a 20 million euro price tag on Vydra. http://www.udineseblog.it/index.php/udinese/calcio-mercato/74887-udinese-vydra-vale-20-milioni-pozzo-vuole-tenerlo-al-watford.html
I'll use my best translating skills... (Google) The agent Vydra pushing for a transfer to the Premier of his client. Well I want it keep Watford, the rest is their policy. Last year he scored 22 goals, is young and can only get better. If it continues afree well the 20 million that today Pozzo may ask become 30, maybe more. For this Vydra, as the same Pozzo said, will remain in Watford, less than an offer really indispensable. But beyond what you read, no one is approaching the figure cited above. Arsenal, Tottenham and Italy, Rome would stop at maximum to 10, too far away. Rather the words of Vydra portend that Pozzo aumentargli have at least the engagement. This is feasible, the intention is to make a Watford even stronger, not weaken it. Provided that some billionaire really does not offer 20 million. One thing is certain: it will return to Udine, although some fans there still hope. even here Well it's been clear. And it is certain also that the Czech national will not play against Italy due to accident ankle suffered at Wembley.
11,000 season tickets sold by last Friday and still a few hundred to process. Then there are the applications that missed out on the 31st May deadline that have been held over. Looks as if there will not be so many empty seats on show next season.
If the Pozzo's have real intent on Watford gaining promotion why aren't they building the new stand ASAP. If it was started tomorrow it would only just be ready for the 2014/15 season. With over 11000 ST sold that leaves just 5000 (approx) seats available on a match to match basis, certainly not good enough for England's top flight. Hopefully these Pozzo's are genuine but at the moment I have some niggling doubts which keep surfacing from time to time...........
It will be interesting to see what happens a couple of months into the new season. Their line has always been the new East Stand will be looked at once we are either promoted or consistently have attendences of 15k+. With over 11k seasont ickets already sold, you have to believe we will be hitting that 15k figure more often than not, and there is most definitely an untapped fan base they can attract. I would assume one of the problems would be the changing rooms (along with media area). The SW corner was originally where the new changing rooms were going to be located, but if they demolish the East Stand without anywhere for this, are they just going to put up a porta-cabin out back...?
You're right about the changing room issue SK, but all problems can be overcome with a suitable amount of investment thrown at it and hence my nagging doubts.........where is our infrastructure investment?
I think there will be a financial plan based on us not going up..... the fact the changing rooms are not moving is significant..... fingers crossed...
