People arguing about Gaston being good enough and about shariah law!

Not entirely sure there's been any Sharia law, but there certainly have been some impressive digressions from the original topic. I suppose the Gaston debate is fairly topical, as it has a bearing on whether he might be sold and whether we might sign another AM.

Just so I'm clear: basically there's been nothing since the rumour of the Uruguayan fella?

Agree, we definetly need to stregthen both, but I think defence is priority.

Not convinced. I'm still confident that Forren will be a solid centre back for us. If I had to choose between signing a centre back and signing a forward it would be a forward hands down. What I think we really need is a player who has pace, and can either play out wide or up front. That way, we are covered if something happens to Rickie or Jay Rod. I also think it's make or break time for Mayuka. If he can fulfill his potential then our need for a forward decreases because he has all the qualities I described above.

Considering our main problem last season was conceding, I'd say that's a pretty big hint we need to prioritise defense. One striker is probably needed though.

Can certainly see your argument Tom, and I agree to an extent, but I feel, as Joe said, our main problem/downfall last season was conceding.

I feel we need 2/3 defensive signings (a full back, and a centre back minimum) with possibly 1 or 2 strikers/attacking options.

Would def. prioritise the defence personally.

I can also see where you're coming from but we did concede fewer goals as the season went on but we also struggled to score. But like I said, we need to strengthen both positions and for me, there's no particular priority.
