Maybe nothing in it but a small rumour doing the rounds papa has sold some of our club to some haps frm the mid east -paa keeps control but new chaps have money - maybe ****e
There was a thread talking of something similar a couple of weeks ago, but this is the first mention we've had on here since.
Alum is both a specific chemical compound and a class of chemical compounds. The specific compound is the hydrated potassium aluminium sulfate (potassium alum) with the formula KAl(SO4)2·12H2O. More widely, alums are double sulphate salts, with the formula AM(SO4)2·12H2O, where A is a monovalent cation such as potassium or ammonium and M is a trivalent metal ion such as aluminium or chromium. Allam is the family name of the owners of Hull City AFC.

Sorry was a bit drunk when posted last night - spelling wasn't too hot. Source is a fairly well connected chap, not a billy bollox type. Saw burnsey last night - he also has heard a similar thing - could be bollox though
There always has been a view to sell the club shares. If you wanted to get in on the action a 20% deal was on the table from day one of the Allams take over. What I cannot understand is why pro footballers seem to avoid investing in football clubs, it's a very small percentage.
That's like asking "Chazz? Was he tanned?" This may or may not have legs and be true, the speculation about it is kinda funny. Whatever they do it will be in the clubs short term and long term best interests.
I seem to remember them saying from day one that they would welcome investors, I would expect as long as they can keep control, to sell a relative small percentage now makes good business sense, sell whilst the product is hot, and get some of their investment back.
I wonder if they'll be Egyptian. I imagine that they'll have been watching from the background all along and told the Allams that if we got to the PL, they'd invest in the club. Does anybody know how much our shares are worth? Or does it not work like that? Just so we have an idea of how much these guys would have had to pay and whether or not it's a large chunk of their funds.
When you say,you wonder if they'll be Egyptian,Tom. It kinda makes me think you expect this to happen. Do you you know something i don't ?
It's a private company (they are not listed for sale) so whatever someone is willing to pay for them.
I've heard the rumours mentioned above, but I heard that when AA went across to Egypt to organise the deal with Al Ahly, he met with some potential benefactors. No names mentioned, all very hazy but if this turns out to be true, its been coming.
If this is true,i'm already starting to worry. There's nothing at all,in the the public domain. When was this deal done ? Why has there been no official announcement ? Sorry, but i'm a city fan, i can't help but worry. Not when it comes to ownership.
