I have a friend who - I only found this out recently - designed the FIFA World Club Cup trophy. Until a recent edit by her husband (after I told him), the relevant wiki page described her as a he! She doesn't even have a name that could lead to a confusion of gender.
Interesting story for anyone who (like me) walks to the ground from Putney station. Apparently the resident beggar outside the bank, just down the road, owns an expensive flat...
Saw that a few days ago- always remember him and the dog. Can't believe he is 37- looks about 50-60 in his picture. Never game him anything.
On a complete aside, as of 5pm today I seem to have gained 2000 rep power, a ton of levels and a couple of achievements. I don't understand how the mechanics of this forum work!
Wow! Look at that. You must have used today's hidden lucky word or something. I'd get a lottery ticket if I were you - you never know, you might be on a roll.
Beats me, Surlyc, but we're honoured just to know you. Assuming of course that your new status doesn't stop you from associating with the little people like us!
Similar thing happened to me - mine shot up overnight. Although not quite as much as yours. please log in to view this image
Just been amused to read that Real Madrid are not put off by Bale's £85 Million price tag. Well of course not. Does Levy think that he can out price Real once they have their heart set on a player? He could say whatever figure he likes and they would look him in the eye and say okay. If he does go I can't see Spurs getting top four next season - they couldn't do it with him, without him they will have even less chance, no matter who they recruit.

Joke of the Day Asked what his reaction was to Joe Kinnear referring to him as Kobab, Yohan Cabaye said, "Never mind me, how do you think my wife Donna feels?"
Shame. My heart bleeds. Having said that, they will probably get further than we will (and I'm not talking about the mileage on the team coach, either).

Anyone know why the BBC are so desperate to push the idea of Rachel Yankey breaking Peter Shilton's cap record? The two are completely separate. I'm sure the women's 100m record holder (amongst many, many others) wouldn't be too happy if we merged the records of men & women across sports.
They featured the article before but thankfully have disabled the ability to comment on it as the majority (rightly so) were criticising the fact that Shilton's record is comparable with Yankey's. Someone summed it up rather well, they asked 'If you were to name the player who has the most caps for an England football team, how many would say Shilton and how many would say Yankey?'
I like Rachel Yankey; she spent four years playing for our ladies team and was clearly one of the best players we had. However, I think it just devalues the women's game to try and draw parallels with the men's game when they are just clearly not comparable at all. I feel like the BBC is deliberately trying to be controversial to try and get some attention. While I expect that from a red top, it's profoundly disappointed from the BBC.
