I've always wanted one! Drool, drool...... http://encarsglobe.com/citroën-light-15.html No doubt it'll go for a stack of cash!
Had a mate who restored one of these many years ago, it was in his garage and a parcel had been delivered with some bits he was waiting for, he was estatic. I sat in the drivers seat all very regal inside polished wood and leatherseats and when he had it roadworthy took me for a spin. As with most Citroens the gear leavers and other stuff were different to other cars and in different places, and yes I know it was a continental drive side vehicle. The paintwork, black, gleamed after a good polish but I couldn't get that carried away about a box of metal on wheels nice though it was. Can't remember what happend to it in the end although I know he did a few rallies, some in France.
Testiment to French engineering, very few survive. Like all Citreons brilliant looks advanced design features and nothing else..
I remember my first sight of them - hitch-hiking in France in 1960; then Rupert Davies/Inspector Maigret drove one in the TV series. And then this - Panhard Dyna - was another iconic motor: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=p...N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=YkC0UejCHvDa0QX6mIHICw
In the early 60's, I worked for a family who had one of these, but I don't know which model it was: https://www.google.co.uk/search?gs_...N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=YmO0UcjVOaSx0QXdx4G4DQ (Sorry, Bob - it probably made you choke on your cafe-au-lait)
Despite being half french that's exactly how I feel. They get on my ****ing tits sometimes. Miserable ****ing twats.
A few years ago we took our grandkids to Eurodisney as part of their Christmas presents, the attitude and treatment towards our grandchildren once the French realised we were English I will never forgive them for. Towards me it was just the same but I couldn't have cared less but towards my grandkids was a different matter ignorant imberciles.
Saw one parked outside York Minster last summer. Some ceremony marking the time when the French were stationed near York in WW2. Nice cars, but prefer 60's Mark 2 Jags with wire wheels!
