2. This is a Aspas problem, if it goes into a legal fight then it is for Aspas himself to fight

is odd how it is possible to be speaking to the wrong person, allegedly anyway.

if we have contacted his club, they would have put us in touch with the right agent surely?

how does buying a player work now days, all seems strange, hope there isn't some silly tapping up done somewhere if this is true.

    well look at the facts.

players says good bye to his club.

    clubs agree fees.

    players goes for medical.

It sounds to me that aspas himself wanted a different agent and his own agent aint too happy.

silly buggers and lfc should walk away.

The Echo are saying the Aspas transfer will go ahead next week, fee and personal terms have
been agreed but the medical has been delayed until after the weekend.

No mention of this agent nonsense.

Liverpool are set to fight it out with Everton for the signing of Wigan forward Arouna Kone.

Kone was one of the stand-out players for the Latics last term, helping them to an incredible FA Cup success.

And former Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is keen to take the 29-year-old with him to Everton, but it now appears the Toffees will have to battle Merseyside rivals Liverpool for his signature, with Brendan Rodgers also interested.

The Ivorian has a £6.5m release clause in his Wigan contract, a sum which both clubs could deem reasonable for a reliable goalscorer.

Celta Vigo frontman Iago Aspas is thought to be on the brink of completing his £7.7m move to the Reds, but Kone's top-flight experience in England alongside his 13 goals in just his first Premier League season has captured Rodgers' interest.

this crap from the same paper that printed we are close to signing him, then we have spoke to the wrong agent, and now he only ever wanted to play for us lol once he found out we was interested in him.

Iago Aspas says he instantly rejected offers from Italy and Portugal when he heard Liverpool were interested in signing him.

The Spanish forward is hoping to complete a deal to join the Reds from Celta Vigo, despite a contractual dispute that has held up the deal.

But he revealed today that he had no interest in any other club once he knew Brendan Rodgers was keen.

"When I heard of Liverpool's interest I did not hesitate even for a minute," the 25-year-old told Marca , the daily sports newspaper.

"It is one of the biggest clubs in the world and although I also had offers from Italy and Portugal and other countries I decided that my future was in English football."

Marca puts the fee Liverpool will pay at around €8.5m.

"I am very calm but at the same time very excited because I am making a very significant step forward in my sporting career," he said.

West Ham are considering whether to make a £12m move for Vitesse Arnhem striker Wilfried Bony, 24, as doubts persist about their move for Liverpool's Andy Carroll, who spent last season on loan at Upton Park.

Spanish website Diario de Sevilla report today that Liverpool’s offensive for Sevilla attacker Luis Alberto has begun.

At the end of May, there were strong rumours, led by Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague that Luis Alberto was set to sign for Liverpool.

The highly rated Spanish attacking player spent last season on loan at Barcelona B but has since returned to Sevilla who are weighing up their options on the player.

Liverpool have agreed personal terms with the representatives of Luis Alberto, according to Diario de Sevilla who also suggest the Premier League side have settled on a four-year contract.

Luis Alberto is quoted in the Spanish media today saying: “It would be foolish & deluded for me to say no to a club like Liverpool.”

Sevilla president José María del Nido is now weighing up Liverpool’s opening 8 million euro bid for Luis Alberto but is worried about losing a highly-rated up-and-coming player.

The La Liga side, suggest Diario de Sevilla, would accept a Liverpool bid of 9.5 million euros for Luis Alberto.

A resolution to this transfer saga is now expected sometime this week.

The 20-year-old attacker fits the mould of players being brought in by Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers. Luis Alberto is young, hungry to prove himself and vastly talented.

In 2012/2013, Luis Alberto scored 11 goals and provided 17 assists in 37 games (32 starts) with Barcelona B.
