Because I am a cyclist? I don't understand what part of cricket is interesting? 5 days of play and the match can still be drawn? It's terrible viewing, it is however a great cure for insomnia!
Nothing to surprise? I was at Donny park a few years back for the BSB, Leon Camier came off on the first lap, jumped back on his bike but he was half the track behind everyone else, he was like a man possessed, caught them up and finished right near the front. The same season in the final race, 2 riders, 2 points between them, were battling it out for the championship title, on the last lap they were 2nd and 3rd whoever finished in front won the title. They ended up overtaking each other about 10 times in one lap and it was decided by 6/1000ths of a second. That was more exciting to watch than any end to a football season. Bikes whizzing around a circuit, passing you in the blink of an eye while you basically wait for someone to fall off? Yeah that sounds thrilling. Cricket with all the action, the tactics, the mind games, right in front of you, fabulous!
Great. The TDF is a great spectacle and a terrific endurance event. I'd hazard a guess that there are far more cyclists and fans of cycling than cricket.
I went to watch a test match at Headingly once. England v West Indies. The fast bowlers were bowling that fast neither I or the England batsman saw the ball. It was a bag of ****, and I got sunstroke. I had to get leathered in the bar simply to take away the pain and boredom. Give me motorsport any day of the week. Get yourselves to Oulton Park on Sunday for the BTCC - great days racing
I never understood why you'd want to play the same team over and over again? I don't mind 20/20 games that are fast paced and over in a couple of hours. Plus there are only really 8 countries that play pro 40, which makes the tests incredibly dull. Although, in the 20/20 World Cup, I saw that Afghanistan qualified, which was hilarious. And it's always funny watching Ireland and Scotland have a go, bless 'em.
longest close season for ages? and still some are whinging that we hadn't signed a complete new team before may was out.
