I think I'd go for: 1: Mike Hawthorn 2: Jackie Stewart 3: Tom Pryce I'm sure everyone else will have their own opinions on it so I'd love to here them! You can vote here too, http://bensulleyf1.wordpress.com/2013/06/08/has-britain-produced-the-finest-f1-drivers/
I'm not really all that knowledgeable when it comes to British drivers (even moreso as I'm Gen Y) but from what I've heard/gathered: 1. Clark 2. Stewart 3. Mansell
On a serious note: 1. Jim Clark (who i regard as the greatest driver ever, well, either him or Prost) 2. Graham Hill 3. Jackie Stewart
I think it would be hard to argue against Clark being the greatest. But I still have to go with Mansell. He gave me so many years of highs and lows, he was the first driver I really supported, he was always entertaining and always wore his heart on his sleeve. I'm still a fan all these years later. No other British driver has had that same effect on me since.
On my tour of Silverstone on Monday I was told that Jim Clark was the greatest of all time I was told that that at his peak he was untouchable in all races
I'll see your Johnny Dumfries and raise you a Jonathan Palmer! You're going to need a Max Chilton if you want to see my cards.......
