you were one of the one ranting and raving about City's dodgy sponsorship deals, care to comment on your significantly larger dodgy sponsorship deals? especially the DHL one?

Chelsea significantly outspend City btw, the only difference is City won the league and destroyed you at OT. <laugh>

  3. It is as much to do with both Man Utd and Man City getting new managers as it is Mourinho returning.

We are worth what Chevrolet are paying. City are worth about 0.5% of what we are worth.

How do you work that out?

This should be good, and don;t talk to me about fan base, ultimately advertisinig is about generated sales through advertising, how on earth you gonna prove that one?

DHL, a logo on a training kit, 40mil <laugh> the AON rename. Seriously, you are having a laugh if you think they are not dodgy

    Very easily.

Manchester United are a major global brand. The biggest in sport and are the most watched football team.

Put simply..... a 90 minute advert to a potential audience of 1 billion people.

be plenty of loopholes to exploit for clubs, anyone worth their money working for them can point them out, how many people really think the ffp rules will work, or more importantly enforced?

cant complain about others doing things if we wouldn't be complaining if we was in the same situation ie similar to Watford with their dodgy loan loop hole, other clubs are just pissed as they cant or couldn't do it.

I think it will work. How well it works and whether its short or long term depends on how strong UEFA really are.

Lets say Chelsea and City along with Monaco and PSG all spend well over 100million this summer. If UEFA simply came out and said "look guys, we warned you yet you continue to take the piss, banned from europe for 5 years plus we are going to instruct your domestic FA to deduct 30 points off each off you" or something similar.... it will never happen again.

Of course UEFA wont do that as the legalities will be far more complex but something like that is all it will take. A simple move that removes 4 relatively small clubs and sends a warning out to others. Dortmund have shown you dont need a billionaire oil baron who kills his enemies.

    Whats going to change?

As I see it, the same players who have amassed 89 points for the past 2 seasons are there. Moyes who di pretty well at Everton now has a much better squad of players and a **** load more cash. Chances are he'll better what he did at Everton by some distance due to the resources at his disposal.

Sure he wont be no Fergie but nobody will.....ever.

That proves nothing, that does not disprove the suspicions that the deals were well over what they are actually worth to those companies and also, their timely arrival after the FA prohibited spending by other clubs, which it looks like has not actually happened given Chelsea's planned spree though City with less revenue may be hindered but lets face it, City were the real target of the financial rule change and no one foresaw Chavsky winning back to back European titles to give them more spending power so they were also a target of those rules while United silently lined up nice deals to give them a nice advantage.

And the DHL deal was also dependent on Ferige unbanning the BBC imo

Why on earth would two companies pay United more than it is worth to them? what has Fergie unbanning the BBC got to do with DHL (the BBC don`t do adverts and MOTD for 15mins a week will not reach much of an audience). City`s deal was obviously dodgy, the Sheik put money into them via a family business. Who do you think gave DHL and Chevrolet the money, the Glazers?
