Considering how much personal, business and family information you've put on these very forums, you're not particularly anonymous for anyone who was curious. I agree with the spirit of your post though, but being "outed" does go 2 ways and you can't consider yourself anonymous do you?
I have never posted a comment on what I do for a living and it's out of order for anyone to drop hints about it. I have no problem with meeting people off here and telling them who I am, or people knowing who my family are, but my business and my football message board posts are completely separate and should remain that way. I am aware of three posters who have completely stopped posting, because their employers were notified of their names on City message boards and they felt that impeded their posts so much, that it was no longer worth bothering. It's a ****s trick, people's privacy should be respected for all sorts of reasons.
According to my doctor people these days are not considered "old" until they reach 80, so nearly a decade of late middle-age left for me before this mark is reached.
I reckon that was a bit harsh OLM - us lot from the old 606 & probably those that have been on here for a couple of years will know that you like your privacy. Someone who has 205 posts, however, is unlikely to realise that you feel so strongly about it.
Im 57, dropping to bits...BUT i couldnt give a **** Got my T5 vespa ( no mirrors etc ) and i dont care.. Motorbikes are for ****ers who darent ride 8 or 10 inch wheel vespas / lambrettas up and down the motorways.. Cars are ****e as well because you cant strip and rebuild them in your front room in winter.
Seen a pale blue Lamby being ridden round and about in Hull at times, is has the H right at the end of the number plate which makes it a 1969 registration I think, going by the BSA (Best Scrap Available) Bantam I had at the time, which was a G reg, 1968 reg.
You have to be very careful what you say anywhere on the internet. It will all come back to haunt people.
