Lee camp shouldn't even need a trial. So I highly doubt its ee. Will probably be Flinders and some youngster we haven't heard of.
Well we have to wait and see Lee Camp did only sign for Norwich on a short term contract in Jan but there is no information that he has been offered an extension so is a free Agent as is the case with Ross Turnbull and Braso who is another that is supposedly in the mix of that Lot Think I would prefer Camp. The only thing that makes me think it could be better keepers on trial is there are an awful lot of keepers released this year and there are going to be a lot of them looking for clubs where they could be the first choice.
07 Jun 2013 18:38:04 Bristol City will sign young Brentford goalkeeper Simon Moore, Moore was disappointed in not gaining promotion with his current club Brenfrord after loosing the playoff final to Yeovil, and he sees Bristol City as a team who will challenge for promotion next season. -CH -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 07 Jun 2013 17:31:07 If Matt Duke leaves for Northampton Town, Phil Parkinson will bring in Former Bristol City and Colchester United goalkeeper Dean Gerken. Gerken worked under Parkinson at Colchester and would be happy to play for him once again in League 1.
Why would we spend money on a transfer fee when there are so many good goalkeepers looking for work? SO'D did not specify that the two trialists are one for the number one slot and another for Under 21's - number two. They could be two trialists for the number two spot in the Under 21's. I would not be the least bit surprised to see Lee Camp as our number one next season, if SO'D can persuade him to live with League One wages.
07 Jun 2013 23:12:34 Bristol city's attempts to sign goalkeeper rob green have failed as Wigan are in for the former england shot stoper First mention we have even tried to sign him so seems odd to post that attempts to sign him have failed I'm sure that lots of keepers were asked in a general way if they would be interest in signing for City and lots of steam agents sent in players CV's trying to find positions for them, but that's a long way from attempting to sign someone.
Just a thought I wonder if someone has got their wires crossed and it is his brother Stuart Moore we are interested in as the U-21 Keeper he was with the Reading Academy and I think he is 19-20 now.
08 Jun 2013 01:37:42 1.5 million pounds plus Nathan Tyson is the price being quoted for albert adomah by derby. a member of the Bristol city board confirmed this {Ed034's Note - they'd be mad to want Sicknote Tyson part of the deal And as usual there is the same idiot claiming he is going to Burnley just because they signed Heaton they forget Burnley are supposedly skint and they got Heaton because he was on a free. Plus our board does not have the power atm to decide which players we are bringing in that is up to Mr Burt and S O'D that is the arrangement according to Jon Lansdown the board can only Veto arrivals if the club can not afford them or if they are people likely to bring the club into disrepute.
08 Jun 2013 10:51:03 Ross County midfielder Richard Brittain is attracting interest from Oldham, Bradford and Bristol City. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 08 Jun 2013 08:15:17 Bristol City attempting to sigh Arsenal's Vito Mannone on a loan deal with a view to a permanent one providing they achieve promotion in the 13-14 season.
Arsenal might well want to get him out on loan he's been nothing but a bench warmer there for years but would he want to come to a L1 side, and could we afford his wages, who knows. We might have been interested in him if we had retained NPC status but we didn't.
Here are the latest ones: 08 Jun 2013 13:04:13 Bristol City are set to give Archange Nkumu and Thomas Donegan a trial during pre season. 08 Jun 2013 13:08:33 Adriano basso has re-signed for bristol city on a free on a 1-year contract
08 Jun 2013 15:50:41 Bournemouth were interested in Neil Killkenny of Bristol City, but have been put off by the players wage demands
08 Jun 2013 15:28:54 Louis Carey has turned down an offer for an extended deal at his hometown club Bristol City, and is set to join Yeovil Town on a 1-year deal. Carey has been promised more first team football at Yeovil and has worked under Gary Johnson before. I know someone who is ITK at Yeovil and I trust him 100% on what he says.
If that rumour becomes reality, we will all know 200% that all the talk coming from Ashton Gate about "The Vision" for the future is the biggest load of mushroom compost that has ever been dropped on us City Supporters. If that rumour becomes reality, I will not buy a season ticket ever again. I'll find a non-league side who will be much more grateful for my £10 per game than the club of my life.
I think if it happened I would have to change my opinion that Gus Ceasar was the clubs worst signing bringing Brassole back would be a massive mistake 3 years with hardly a game lets bring him in as first choice someone would be having a laugh and it would probably be Brasso's agent.
Article from the Mail about Davies going to Wolves - surely not at the price quoted?? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-want-bring-Wolves-winger-Bakary-Sako-3m.html
I suppose that if this is accurate, Davies would be playing League One but still on Championship wages due to wolves parachute payments.
