I can think of a few pseudomembers who I wish would do that.

    Hamilton has just tweeted:

He should have apologised 24 hours ago, but at least he's done it now.

Well done to Hamilton for accepting responsibility.

The only bias I ever hear is when they talk about Vettel and Webber, they are both so plainly Webber partisans, but I don't hear any bias between Lewis and Jenson, as mentioned above they probably criticise Hamilton more because he makes more mistakes, they were derisory about Buttons pit stop calamity, but apart from that he hasn't really done anything he can be criticised for, conversley I think they praise Lewis more than Button, because he makes more opportunities for himself than Button

Does anyone know if Petrov is going to race in Montreal? I hope he is not hurt or anything but I would like it if Bruno Senna got a race.

All I've read at the moment is that he got a bruised ankle and that he's a bit of a tart with injuries.

    Here's something: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/30052011/66/petrov-ll-fine-montreal.html

80G, 80 times the force of gravity? Unless it was only for the tiniest fraction of a second, I don't think the human body can sustain that kind of G force! Where was the tweet?

I'm not sure this is right, but he weighs 63kg so at 80G he endured over 5.5 tons of force from his own body when he hit it.

Wow, well if that is true he is very lucky to be alive. ~784ms-2 deceleration, wow. Silver Arrow, I guess it depends on what you use as the vale for acceleration due to gravity, using g=9.81 I make it a little under 50,000N force on impact. Again, wow.

Was there not someone in F1 who crashed and was said to of survived about 180G? I think he went from just over 100mph to zero in about two foot.

Short term High G impacts are survivable, just they tend to break stuff :)

P.s. Hi, sorry I missed all the 'fun' this weekend.

80G is survivable by extremely fit people if it is the maximum experienced during a progressive build-up (through rising 'G'), even if the build up is extremely rapid. Travelling sideways would begin to give a negative G before impact; initial contact with the barrier would cause a sudden rise which progresses to the point at which the total mass of car plus driver is equalised by the ever more compressed barrier, where upon it rebounds (from the point of maximum G) and tails off to zero again.

Thus, it is that the G force rises very rapidly and falls very rapidly, but the 80G is not instantaneous - which indeed would be unsurvivable!

Some Faily Mail stuff here, linking Hamilton's post-Monaco thoughts with those of Senna and some comments by JYS about Monte Carlo.

Well maybe it is a bit of biasy in my head, but I do agree that sometimes Lewis does get the praise he deserves.

And its good to see he apologised.
