The answer is simple - he knows how good he is and what level he should be playing at which is the Premier League. Is a mark of the man that he hasn't put in a transfer request when you came asking and in interviews has said that he is willing to stay with us in the Championship for another year. As we said previously in this thread, if an established Premier League team or even yourselves came in with a good bid, we wouldn't begrudge him leaving - you haven't so we laughed it off. Next season if we aren't up then he can leave on a free with no regrets - would have fulfilled his contract which is more then you expect from players these days.
All I know about Hull is that there are a lot of industrial Pharmaceutical companies up there - deal with a lot of them at work.
I'd be afraid If that's the case, sign him and you are even more guaranteed to come straight back down than you already are
