I'm a massive Redknapp fan, always have been. I loved the passion he brought to all his clubs (previously) and I loved watching his Spurs side. I, like most of the nation, wanted him to become England manager as I thought there wasn't a man on the planet, apart from Morinho, that could get those overrated big egos to perform for there country.

So, with all this Wayne Bridge nonsense and his clear lack of respect for the privacy of our club, I'm left very disappointed. We all know we need a manager who is 100% committed to the cause (its been mentioned thousands of times on this board) but is he?

Perhaps he is, perhaps he's so determined for promotion that he doesn't care about what the fans think of his interviews on sky, but more about getting the players he thinks are up for the championship fight! It's an interesting thought, when you actually think about it, apart from Sambas display at Fulham, I wouldn't say I was disappointed in any of Arrys recruits in Jan. Remy is awesome and could grace any club in the prem, JJ done fantastic and we all know our thoughts about Townsend. So why have the board decided that there not gonna back him 100%?? Mark Hughes is why.......

The last time they back there man, they got stung, but surely Arrys January buys prove that he IS to be trusted. I don't blame the board, I fully understand why they want to be cautious, but is it a little too late. We've been stung, now we need to move on, IF Arry is there man then back him. Phil Beard is a man to be respected but I don't know of his previous footballing credentials. And if Arry isn't the man to be trusted, then get rid, were wasting time and there should have been a lot more more movement in the market by now. And the board will be judged on that decision.

Personally, I think he'll leave, and I think it will be today. I can't see how he can stay now. Where we go from here will be interesting, I don't think we'll find a better manager. Perhaps one with great potential. U Rsssss

Yes, I think Hughes plays a big part in there thinking but throw in another circumstance, that being we are in the Championship and not the PL and there is your answer. We must cut back on the $$$$$$$$$$$.

Don't think it's the Mark Hughes effect at all -

TF has shown his willingness to back every manager he's had with transfer and wage funds - He now sees the need to try a different approach from over 30 free transfers which simply haven't paid off other than Ryan Nelsen.

I'm pretty sure if Redknapp had a decent scouting network we could have at least taken a look at a local lad here called Okore who wouldn't even have cost 5k a week and is a Danish international who was playing CL only last year and got his team qualified for it this.

TF is looking at it and simply saying - Come on Harry - Are you telling me that for 30K a week there isn't a better left back in World football than Wayne Bridge!!?

Just read that question and there's your answer!!!!!

Our Arry's a Dinosaur and wouldn't know where to start looking for fresh talent that doesn't require brown envelopes!!

Most know I believe Hughes was on the right track and has a cool head
He knows as we all do know he massive a massive error and gamble bringing in an excellent squad that could make a team overnight

Harold has failed at most of his clubs IMO and we know now was never in the running for a bloody Engkand job

He is a character but has no character and no substance

He courts the media and is addicted to that ... Drama queen as well with all this so called experience he couldn't get anything out of this squad and in fact destroyed any sign of a team

Yes Hughes made an error but nothing compared to Harold

Proof ... We are now in a worse place

We have become a circus with second rate sideshows to boot!! And I'm getting more furious every day.
This management team (Board and Harry's entourage) should already have an agreed strategy - basic business sense anywhere you go. So why the **** are they having a disagreement in public? Everyone can see what a disaffected club we have been, still are, will continue to be. We appear to have low standards. Have people caught up, and courting, a massive media circus.

Time to close everything down now. Shut up shop. Do business behind closed doors. Set out our standards for doing business - and if you can't abide by it - then leave your job (that's for you Harry).
Show some decorum and be a manager - not a whining, whinging 66 year old teenager.
You're employed by the Club and Board - tow the business line. If you don't agree with it, fine, resign!
I've had enough of this bullshit.

    <ok>

Tony has set a dangerous precedent with his spending under Warnock, Hughes and Harry in January. Unless he puts his foot firmly down (preferably BOTH publicly and behind closed doors) I'm afraid we're set to continue to be percieved this way.

I was a big Arry fan, but that feelings slowly diminished since last November when he took over. Now, I'm not really bothered if he stays or goes, I just want a decision now so that we know where we're going. If he stays or goes, I think we should be prepared for a 2 or 3 year period in the Championship whilst we rebuild.

Whoever is the Manager I cant see us being promoted with the current bunch of overpaid, overated egostistical wasters that we are saddled with at the club. With a few exceptions.

So come on Arry, either sign up to what the owner wants, or bugger off!!! And let us have the time to recruit a Manager with a long term plan.

We need to get back to some stability and enjoy our football, whatever division its in.

    It's this simple

Harold is in fact addicted to the spotlight ... No one at the club minds this because the club as I have said in the past many times is actively embracing the attention to raise the profile. We should all flip this and understand in a way how important this is to build and sustain the brand profile... For TF it seems to be the reason he is involved

We are a small fish in London and our profile has to grow as a business

If you don't believe me then ask yourselves this we are the TV and in the press most days still ... How many players have we signed ?

They are building a script for a fairy story or a horror show ... In terms of success these are both in effect the same... Has Harold got the club interests at heart? Or his own story that's the question here?

Just when it all seems so clear, you have to come and muddy the waters again. Excellent post Dave.

Was Warnock really ever provided a reasonable budget to bring in decent players after our promotion? Would be interesting to see the outcome if TF had stuck with him and let him strengthen the squad in January 2012.

Apart from those 5 home wins on the trot, which ultimately kept us up for another year of misery, Hughes provided very little to the club.

I think Harry's article today proves my point! There's too much Harry bashing on this forum. He does want the best for our club, he does want promotion, he does want to stay and everyone including the board need to back him.
If I were a manager, I wouldn't want to work with players other people think suit your individual style. We need to let Harry have a free reign, that doesn't mean splashing the cash again but if he wants some wise heads (let's face it, player of the season for the last two years isn't exactly a spring chicken) then let him. Otherwise, I were going to go young and have a two or three year plan then we might need to go with someone else.
