He can't defend for toffee Shogs, pardon the pun. A fair manager but I think not good enough for your club, time will tell I suppose.
My worry is what Martinez will do to them when they do come through!! Can I ask, why do you think Baines will go nowhere? Surely if Moyes wants him he isnt going to turn down the opportunity of playing for the PL Champions and playing in the CL?
He may be a lifelong fan but that doesnt mean he wont when given the opportunity want to reach the pinnacle of his chosen sport(after all he is already an England international so that box is ticked CL footy not yet). Being a lifelong fan doesnt necessarily preclude this. As for the money I was talking about the playing opportunities he would get rather than the finances of the contract.
We don't give a fcuk about your beloved Brendan this is a thread about Roberto Martinez. The clue is in the title
Baines is a genuine down to Earth guy, he's not like most footballers. He keeps to himself and doesn't like to blow his own trumpet. If he was going he'd have been gone a long time ago. He also will have a very high price for a left back. We will see though I guess, he's going to be offered a new contract in the next few days.
