That's terrible, unfair on their fans who shell out hard earned cash for that tripe. I bet the Scousers are mortified

Not as mortified as they will be now given that it's been confirmed that Martinez has gone to Everton after turning them down last season <whistle>

A thread dedicated to Liverpools' away kit. This I don't get.

Now, a thread discussing Martinez choosing Everton over Liverpool, that I would have got.

I agree, let's talk about Bobby at Everton instead, we get too much conversation about Liverpool as it is on this board

I did click it,mikra. I actually saw the kit yesterday on some site or other. It didn't move me to want to bring it to anyone's attention though.

Hey,no problem,it just seems such an odd thread for this Forum. Sort of leaves one open to accusations of obsession by any passing scouser.

"Those Jacks are discussing our AWAY strip",type of thing.

Still no Martinez thread, which is more deserving,I think.

“Our aim from the outset was to conduct a proper, thorough, search, and do it in the proper manner,” said Ayre.

“From our point of view, we did all the right things. We approached the clubs we needed to approach, and conducted ourselves properly at all times.

“It is disappointing, then, that Dave Whelan felt the need to run the kind of sideshow he conducted via Sky Sports News and various other media outlets.

“To be honest, I always thought John Bishop was the biggest comedian in the north west, but Dave Whelan seems to have taken that mantle over the last couple of weeks!

“It is important to understand that we ran a proper search to find a new manager, and that part of that involved us speaking to a number of candidates.

“We make no secret of the fact we spoke with Roberto Martinez, but that is all we did. He is a great guy, and I can’t speak highly enough of his professionalism and conduct.

“But for his chairman to make suggestions like he has, and suggestions that just aren’t true, well it is disappointing to say the least. We can say with absolute certainty that the only person who was made any offer by Liverpool Football Club is Brendan Rodgers.”

... On topic, the Liverpool kit is truly awful.

"We can say with absolute certainty that the only person who was made any offer by Liverpool Football Club is Brendan Rodgers".

"Well,he would say that wouldn't he",to quote a lady of the night, who was partly instrumental in bringing down The Tory Government back in the 1960's.

I don't believe him,but you are of course entitled to feel otherwise.

That would be a much more appropriate thread, mikra. No criticism of you was ever intended,by the way. Hope you realise that.

I don't think he'd have put it so plainly if it was a downright lie.

I'd certainly believe Ian Ayre over Dave Whelan.

Nah. Senile Dave has a habit of putting his foot right in it and usually by telling the truth. You believe what you believe I suppose.
