I think giving interviews about wanting to leave when you're still under contract is disrespectful to your club. Not talking about wanting to move when you're under contract - which involves about 99.99% of players is just normal behaviour. I don't think class comes into either situation, it's just the wrong choice of word imho.
To me class isn't about doing the right thing, it's more about going the extra mile. A good football related eg is the way Everton honour the 96 - when not doing anything at all wouldn't be disrespectful in any way, by doing what they have it exudes real class. On numerous occasions we expect a minutes silence to be just that. Not honouring it shows no class but the opposite doesn't necessarily extend to showing class. Observing the silence is 'normal' behaviour [in the terms I've been talking about].
I would be happy to have Martinez if I was in an Everton fan. He plays nice football and im sure the Everton fans are sick of watching hoofball with no trophies for the last ten years. Martinez is imo a better manager than Moyes in every way, he plays better football, he wins more trophies with less money and he will also attract better players that want to play football on the ground. I hope Everton get relegated next season but I can see them doing ok with Martinez.
So you rate Martinez ahead of Moyes, a manager who's just landed the biggest job in British football & one of the top 3 jobs in World football, who was recommended for that role, by the most successful manager the game has ever seen - compared to one who's just been relegated after winning 2 decent games in a fluky cup run? haha, sums up your knowledge of the game that - ****ing clueless.
So **** managers never get appointed by big clubs? Carlos Queiroz managed Real Madrid, he's prob worse than Moyes and Real Madrid are bigger than Man United. You calling some clueless for having a different opinion than you just sums up what a arrogant twat you are.
Tobes, he rates a manager who's won something ahead of a manager who's won nothing. What has Moyes actually achieved in his career as a manager. Note please I want you to say what he's achieved, not what he's been appointed to or recommended for.
What's Queiroz got to do with Ferguson, Moyes & Martinez? The simple facts are, that the best manager that the World has ever seen, chose the man you're saying is worse than the relegated Martinez, to be the manager of the biggest club in the country. I wasn't calling you clueless because your opinion differed, I was calling you clueless, as your conclusion was devoid of any logic & was thus the conclusion of a clueless ****.
Come on, they only had 2 PL opponents - us (who they deservedly beat) & City in the final - a game that could have easily gone against them & if Zabaletta had stayed on, probably would have. I classed it as a fluke, as the 20 league games that they lost, was probably a greater indication of their level, than 2 good cup performances.
You can only play who is put infront of you - they smashed you and matched City (who are opposite end of the spectrum compared to Wigan) and got their last minute winner as a result. Making up excuses as to why other teams won a cup is sad.
Totally unnecessary name-calling, Tobes. Relative differences between Moyes and Martinez are a matter of opinion, as neither has had a chance before to show what they can do at the level they're now at. It remains to be seen what happens. Personally I don't think Moyes is the right man for the utd job, but I could be totally wrong.
I just used Queiroz as an example of a big club taking on a desperate manager and Moyes is a desperate manager imo. Has bacon face ever picked a manager for a club before? No. So I don't see how he is being trusted to pick a manager when he has no clue what he is doing in that regard. My logic for thinking Martinez is better than Moyes is really quite simple. Moyes has won nothing and has had a lot more money to spend than Martinez who has won a proper trophy with a very small club, so how was my opinion devoid of any logic?
How does it feel now that Martinez turned you down last year only to sign for the top team in Liverpool (Everton) today
