    Not gonna happen.

Simply put, why would he go back down a level when he himself says he is a Prem manager?

Paper talk. After all it is Silly Season at the moment isn't it?

Why would Bruce, after signing a 3 year deal with us, earning Promotion in his first back into the League he himself believes that he should be managing in (and he's quite correct to do so) go back to the Championship with a team that may/may not return to the top flight?

Answer: He's not going to, because he's not stupid.

Not even remotely similar. Whilst Pearson was with us, we were a mid-table outfit, and he never wanted to leave Leicester in the first place. The new 'moneybags' Leicester offered him a return, and in Pearson's opinion, it was a chance for him to have massive financial backing and more chance of Premier League football.
Whereas this is Bruce leaving a Premier League team to join an unpredictable Championship outfit (although it's not going to happen).

Fingers crossed and we live in hope AKCJ.

By the way even if SB did leave for Wigan,, Hull City would still be going to Manchester twice, London 5 times and many other PL teams.

I am still laughing at the thought of Lesta going to such lovely places as Yeovil, Bournmouth, Doncaster, Barnsley and the like.

    Just saying like.

It's just the southern press having a slow news day and giving us a kicking for being "hard" to get to for them when they do match reports. My nephew works for Newscorp and he said the consternation by the sport hacks when we were promoted was palpable.
"no local airport" "no where to go out" "expenses are crap" "out on a limb" etc, we have to face it those London based journo's are lazy f*****s who hate us. They see us as having no right to be here, so will cause mischief whenever they can,

A non story, made up by ****nuggets who know no better....move along now

Yes you probably will, because if it happen that would be one less place for Lesta to go for in the promotion race.

Bruce said bringing City back to the Premiership was his biggest football achievement to date.

    He won't leave now.

I'll admit it; I 'd had misgivings when I first heard That Steve Bruce had been appointed, but he has done a fantastic job for the club, and it was bound to happen, as has been mentioned before, there would be rumours linking him with almost every club that had lost its faith in the manager. I too would doubt he'd be in that much of a hurry to leave. Who knows, perhaps he has a point to prove to a couple of the clubs he's managed before, and may feel the job is only half finished with HCAFC

How do you think he got the money? ;)

When I said about Stoke having more money though I meant in terms of their footballing budget rather than his salary. With Wigan there really is only one reason though, which is why we should be safe.

You can probably get to Humberside quicker than you can to Heathrow. On a bad day it takes me 25mins from my home to Humberside. Mind you though we don't have any direct flights to the almighty ****ehole that is our capital. Maybe we should have a word in Eastern Airways shell-like, especially as they are now major shareholder in airport.
