Its been fun today for pre season and little transfer news but come on.... Jose bgged for the United job, did you see him at OT in the CL. He as good as begged for it live on TV.

Glad I have wound a few of you up today after you lot have had your fun with Moyes ( who probably wasnt initially first choice, Mourinho had to be and I think his attitude at Real cost him this time ).

Also suggestions he wants rid of Torres and Mata?

    Hatred of the Spanish maybe?

They simply can't accept they are no longer the big fish in the small pond. If anything, just medium sized fish in a big pond.

    Hazard rejected them
    Essien rejected them
    Mikel rejected them
    Robben rejected them
Van Nistelrooy left them for a bigger and better club
Ronaldo left hem for a bigger bigger and better club
    Mourinho rejected them
    Ancelotti rejected them
    Bale will reject them

They haven't signed a marquee player since Glazers came in, Moyes being there will only make it harder to attract top players. Once City have completely usurped them under Pellegrini's guidance they won't even be top 3 on the lost of PL clubs top players want to join.

    Bale already rejected us.

Oh and Robin Van Persie would probably just about fall into the marque category <ok>

Fair play UIR. You have a good sense of fun when wumming and at least you admit Jose was first choice at United initially. Do you think United approached Ancelotti too? And when do you think Saffa told the Glazers he was finished??

An injury prone 29 year old which no other top club wanted. If Real or Barca went in for him, or clubs of that ilk they'd have got him.

Ancelotti is a weird one. Never really been linked with the job as far as I know.

With Moyes he has been linked with the job for years, perhaps predating Mourniho as well but hes been chosen primarily on his longevity. We are a club who hasnt changed manager in 26 years, few people at the club have experience of it so going for something often attributed to Fergie being so successful as United is a sensible choice.

I also dont think Mourinho said no, I think we pulled the plug. I dont like Real Madrid ( though would hope they win against Barcelona if I was choosing sides ) but he was a prat. Not saying he was wrong but he went about it poorly. I think it scared United off a little bit as it could be a big negative for United if he did similar. Hes still very immature in many ways.

I would love Mourinho at United, I think one day depending on how Moyes does United will get him. Maybe in 3 years, Maybe in 10. By then he should be more mature and a little more intelligent. Some Chelsea fans suggest it wouldnt be possible but I dont see any issue. If it was Liverpool it would of course be different.

He'll do well at Chelsea and get you ahead of City again. Nobody knows how United will do but for all Fergies greatness it was the players on the pitch winning the titles. Those players are still here, everyone of them Champions who regardless of whether you think other clubs were poor or not won the league with ease. We also walked our CL group with little effort and should of beat Madrid and gone further than we did. Moyes has an amazing squad to work with and i bet you he gets a fortune to spend this summer ( we have a **** load of money coming our way so its no issue ).

Seven seasons, five titles. Who needs marquee signings?

Not really, there is nothing in the league to worry about unless Pelligrini buys big.

Arsenal are supposed to have money to spend and Wenger would cause me more concerne than Jose, his challenge lasted longer the first time.

With the infrastructure United have I place and squad, of course they are favourites to win the title

I think Jose will piss off the press, the FA, united fans etc too much to make it feasible for him to coach United in the future. He will have to leave England again after his tenure at Chelsea.

He was obviously first choice at United at some stage earlier this year but it did bit work out, either because United did not fancy his ego or Jose did not fancy Manchester to live.

Also, I have read nothing about when Saffa told the board when he was leaving. When do you think it was?
