Nah, beer should be still, and cellar temperature so you can taste the bloody thing. What's the point of forking out over three quid for something that's gassy and so cold you can't taste anything? It might be ok if you live in the desert, but it's cold enough here as it is.
I can't stand cask ales, I also can't stand Carling/Fosters and all that. Beer should be cold not too fizzy (like Carling) but still have a good taste to it (Tanglefoot) is a good example.
