not watching lions - state of origin is rugby, but not as we know it, truly breathtaking and intense

Im near Byron Bay far north coast of new south wales not too far from the border with queensland - or more simply the most easterly tip of Australia as you look at a map.

I had a full blown argument with some aussie prick who was saying the rivalry in the State of origin is bigger than the old firm.

 

Not a RL man but watch it sometimes,spent some time over there but a million miles from just outside Perth.I got into the Aussie Rules though.

 

AFL's brilliant. Watched a few games in Melbourne. They are completely sports mad over there - every bit as bad as us in fact!

 

It is and rough as ****,sad I know but Collingwood were my team because of their colours

 

I went to an AFL game and every time I thought I had begun to understand the rules and scoring something else happened which totally confused me again. Still don't understand it.
