So Far... Option 1........01.. Option 2........01.. Option 3........10..( With some style changes) Total.............10.. Cider, I'll wait a couple of days and see developments, I only put this up out of general interest..
Quite like 2- Wife likes No1- 3 is fine but some variation needed to style it up a bit, dont like the round neck. All 3 are better than that black thing last season
I hope it is three ... I expect it won't be. Liken this to adidas "originals". Keep tweaking keeps the muglets buying.
Out of interest, why do we bother with the likes of Adidas making our kits? More often than not, we end up with a kit that is exactly the same as five other teams in the Football League, bar the colour. I quite like Adidas kits, but there are a ton of other choices and I reckon some other manufacturers would be a bit more adventurous and would design a kit that City fans would actually be happy with.
Lets see 13-15000 fans have a hell of a time making a design to satisfy that many people, However clubs like Manchester Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle etc send designs to the companies making the shirts which is why we end up wearing shirts that look like one of the bigger clubs.
Because its a name brand. The stripes will always sell due to its association with street cool. The guff sold as the last first team shirt, and blue in the away kit shows many will lap anything up. The associated training kits and leisure wear are also quality, and offer easy to purchase range other suppliers don't match. The club could hand over those five choices for fans to choose on via a vote. That would fit in with this fan centred club vision with its five pillars yada. The reason [Mrs works in marketing - design] they don't is commercial. Selecting a kit each season that is significantly different is simple cynical marketing. A kid will not want to be wearing the star trek kit, when the next kit does not contain black, the next kit then will again alter significantly to stimulate sales. Club history and tradition is irrelevent.
Sorry I'm late to respond, major internet connection problems for 5-6 days, ouch. Anyway, I vote for number 3 as well, though change the neck and make it short sleeved. I don't like all these flashes and contrasting inlays (as in #2), though of course there's only so many ways to change a shirt design to maximise sales every season. And #1 is just nasty IMHO, and we've already had that with last season's horrible black and red thing. Let's go nice and classic. We play in red. Not red and black. Not red with silly, fancy white shapes. Just red.
Not a lot of love for number 1. Think it would look better short sleeve but number 3 is probably my 2nd favourite. Its about time the club came out and showed us our new shirts!
Are Hargreaves and Lansdown sponsoring us? Would not surprise me if they are, that way SL can inflate the price to generate cash into the club via the FFP rules.
I kind of thought That would be one way of increasing the revenue stream into Bristol City because I think Blackthorn were only sponsoring the shirt for 12 months.
I think the players drank a lot of Blackthorn products last season, because they all played like they were pissed
I LIKE THE 3RD DESIGN but whatever the kit looks like you know that otib.co.uk will go into meltdown with people complaining (quite looking forward to it )
