So somehow TSS Jedi mind-tricked me into running this for him, the initial premise can be found here. Pretty simple really, to kick things off, name the goalkeeper who had the best performance against Saints this season, who rained on our parade the most? For the sake of saving time, if in a couple of days there is one name who is a head and shoulders front-runner then he will be put right into the XI, if its close between a group then it will be put to a poll. So let's see how far we can get before everyone gets bored and stops voting, best GK - go!
I seem to remember Al-Habsi having an absolute blinder against us when Wigan beat us at home, so long ago now that I can't remember with any real authority! Begovic's wonder saves on the final day spring to mind, particularly when he dived the wrong way and saved with his foot, so Begovic.
I remember Al-Habsi tipping an absolute beauty from Lallana onto the bar, I was so upset that didn't go in. Imagine how it could have affected Adam's goal-scoring confidence!
When did he play well against us? We scored 3 at Loftus Road and Rob Green came on and made that wonder save at St Mary's.
For real? We looked like scoring at home until Green came on, and he was pretty terrible at Loftus Road.
Definitely Al-Habsi, like downthe36 said, all I can remember is the save from Lallana's shot at home.
I would like to nominate Ben Foster, who I think was the only goalie to keep a pair of clean sheets against us last season. (Please correct me if I'm wrong!)
Well he did do well, but then he didn't play a full game against us. On that basis I think Al-Habsi and Mignolet probably are more deserving.
Al-Habsi for me as well. Can't believe they dropped him for Joel. They went down after that, says it all really!
Tim Howard. I thought both we and he were superb in the 0-0 that was MP's first game as manager. We had 25 shots and still didn't manage to put 1 past him.
