Elmo is just not worth considering. No one is stupid enough to think that'd be a good idea. I'd definitely snap Hooper up.

I have no doubt The Sun will claim to be ITK like they do with everything else, despite the news being common knowledge

Of all the speculative articles that The Sun has had to write over the years, a speculative article that heads off other speculative articles must be the toughest.

There is a list of other stories near the bottom of the link. One headline is "5 clubs that will spend 780 million on Gareth Bale". Think someone has fat fingers as its supposed to be 80.

Charlie Austin convicted of assault:

And possibly snorting himself...... perhaps steer clear in the transfer market! Although perhaps we need someone with a bit of a rough edge?!

When we were rumored to be looking at him before, I mentioned then that I heard through Swindon fans that he had some habits that may not be particularly clean and family friendly ... what is his first name again <whistle>

To be fair it was only the assaultee who said he was 'hunched' over the toilet bowl, what other reason could they give for going into the cubicle while he was having a piss? He may not have been but if you had to defend doing that in court you might make an accusation of drug use. They may have all thought "Look there's austin, traitor. He's having a piss, lets all film it on our (white) I-phones".

@josh_burridge: Sky Italia reporting that Davide Astori has agreed a transfer to Southampton and will sign next week. #saintsfc

Not sure about it's validity, or whether it's been posted or not, but just seen this over on SaintsWeb.

Saints linked to Genoa defender Luca Antonelli here: http://www.calcioblog.it/post/18609...e-southampton-si-giocano-il-genoano-antonelli

TRANSLATION

Luca Antonelli, former captain of AC Milan Primavera and family tradition (his father "Dustin" finished emphatically to make the first and only star AC Milan) is one of the most watched pieces, maybe it is too fine, the transfer window is upon us. And there would only Serie A, with the same Milan but especially the Roma that make us more of a thought, because even the Southampton who bought one year ago Gaston Ramirez from Bologna to 12 million euro is being done under after salvation well this year in the Premier obtained.

Antonelli is a natural left-back, easily adaptable to the cursor to the entire band in the 3-5-2 now in vogue in the most important tournament between Italian, which, however, has even used Ballardini with some consistency (low quality) from left midfielder in midfield five . It's certainly a player intact, very good professional, ideal pawn in the thoughts of Sabatini to fill the role of lateral shaky after poor seasons Balzaretti (which could also accept the destination Genoa) and Dodo (toward a loan, or perhaps in Catania perhaps to the newly promoted Verona).

The President, however, urged rossoblu Precious least 6 million euro, and those figures Southampton would be ready to compete even going higher. But it will be a progression similar to what happened in January with the offensive of the British for Cagliari Astori, who, however, did not feel the summer, preferring to wait for a call that has not yet arrived but that certainly will come.

In short, Antonelli prefers Italy but the example of Santon from Inter who went to Newcastle (where it is literally reborn) creates a precedent that could entice the boy. Difficult to stay under the lantern, because when it comes to renewals Precious upward reasonable level acquired a deaf ear well aware that the only alternative is to monetize more, well, how are you doing this for years with some risk of too much.
