Morning all Bright morning...sun with a few puffy clouds...good for most things apart from going to the dentist. And what am I doing today?
I came to Scotland 40 years ago but have not developed a Scottish twang. I did spend 4 years in East Africa. When I hear my brother talk I think oh I hope I don't sound like that so I think my accent has been toned down a bit but still recognisably NW London (born a cockney but never lived there). I have had a few people ask me if I am from New Zealand like Bolton. My ears I think don't seem to pick up accents very well as my wife is incredulous sometimes when I ask where are they from. Oh I am now going deaf and find that I cannot understand Americans (well they never did learn English) or people who speak fast - subtitles are a godsend sometimes.

Work has got really busy lately, so...i'm making a new month resolution (a teensy bit late) and am going to try and go to bed at 12...i figure if i aim for 12.00, it'll be 12.30 which is before 1am so that can only be good! What will constitute "allowable force"? As I'm never on here that late, it'll be up to others to take on that task. Afternoon all, lovely and sunny here. Had a tax exam this morning - knew I was under prepared due to a couple of reasons so expect to fail but going in there in that frame of mind meant I hadn't put any pressure on myself. This meant that I just gave it my best shot. Don't think that I've passed, but I also think that I haven't done as badly as I thought I might.

Self inflicted pain here in various muscles. Think I have been overdoing it again. Just been reading about Nantes who have won promotion from League 2 into the top division by finishing third. (No play offs here.) It seems as if there is a dispute over a player that they signed in an irregular manner. They have been fined €4.5m and banned from signing any players for the whole of next season. They are hoping that by appealing the ban will be held over and during that time they will be able to recruit players for next season. It seems as if Watford were lucky to have a buffoon in charge when charges were brought against them.
