WHU were our rivals for promotion and some thought they might be rivals for relegation last season. No real reason for them to be regarded as rivals any more. We should set our sights higher...Man U anyone
I'd be happy if spurs, liverpool and everton were our rivals next year. I just hope we find a way to combat the awfull long ball adopted by some of the less attractive teams. Perhaps we should buy some thuggish lower league players simply for these games next year? Stop our thoroughbreds getting injured and play them at their own dirty game?!
Stoke won't be the same team anymore. My money is on them going down. WH could be the last of the "quality" long ball teams.
Reminded me of Pardew's comment: Southampton are thoroughbreds who don't like mud. (Pretty sure he didn't mean it as a compliment).
We could keep them in a dark shed most of the year and bring them out 3 or 4 times a year for the visual feast that is stoke/spam. Hang on didn't we have all of these player at one time?!
exactly! my point is, the team under Hughes, although the same players, I think will be different. Not as effective, and will probably get relegated.
