Next season's Premier League is a three-horse race (on paper, anyway, given either of the Manchester clubs or even Chelsea could flame out as has happened in previous seasons) and Chelsea doesn't have the biggest chequebook in the league.

Not exactly an ideal scenario for Mourinho, when you consider his record:
Porto: One-horse race, biggest chequebook in the league
Chelsea: Two-horse race, biggest chequebook in the league
Inter: One-horse race, biggest chequebook in the league
Real: Two-horse race, biggest chequebook in the league
Chelsea: Three-horse race, not the biggest chequebook in the league

At Porto he could build the team he wanted because he had the means to do so, at Chelsea he had not just the means but also the funds to force the issue (as he did with the huge fees paid for Drogba and Essien) to negate Man Utd having the means to get the players they wanted, he had the means and the funds at Inter aided by Juventus and Milan being a shambles at the time, but at Real he came against a problem - Barca have the means and the funds to sign the players they want and eclipsed them in Spain and Europe, and it has to be said that Bayern also have this ability and twice knocked them out of the Champions League.

Joey Barton is taking his UEFA coaching badges.

How long before he slags off Joey Barton on Twitter for being a terrible coach, leading to him wanting to leave the club where Joey Barton is coaching at the earliest opportunity, and constantly making snide comments about how poorly the club Joey Barton is coaching at is doing once he leaves?

In ten seasons of club management, including an eight-month sabbatical in 2007–08, Mourinho has led his club to win its domestic league seven times, the UEFA Champions League twice and the UEFA Cup once. Since 2002, Mourinho has not gone a full calendar year without winning at least one trophy.

That list of honours proves that Portugal was a one-horse race when he was there, the Premier League was a two-horse race where he could spend more than anyone else to stay ahead of everyone else, Serie A was a one-horse race, and La Liga was a two-horse race where Barca's horse was much faster than his more often than not.

Before Mourinho arrived at Porto they had finished 3rd in the league. Before he had arrived at Chelsea, The invincibles won the title. Before he arrived at Madrid barca were the dominant force and many consider that team to be the best of all time. The you forget that he won the Champions League with Inter and Porto and no one would have thought that possible at the start of those champions League campaigns.

Sevilla rejected the bid out of hand, partly because they;re flush with cash after Jesus Navas joined City, but also to save Negredo the bother of meeting with them and telling them to do one.

Koscielny's appears to have given the Goons an ultimatum of sorts: Buy some decent players or I'll go somewhere that has some.
Bayern have been linked with him.

Completely inaccurate, but even so he had to overcome Real Madrid's Galactico's and cash splashing Man U to win the CL with Porto. He won the treble with an Inter side that had its fair share of limitations, beating Barca at their peak along the way. His record at Leiria also refutes your argument (IMO).

Take out the Dutch League and every single league is pretty much contested by 2 teams.
