From the little i've seen of him in Youtube, his first touch was pretty awful and passing wasn't too convincing either. For 20million we could definitely look elsewhere.

Andy Hunter and a few others now joining regards our interest in Henrikh - they state he is our main transfer target even if Suarez stays.

Very excited about this potential signing.

 

I think he is that good, at one point he was in the 25 mil range.

 

Haven't seen much of him but when I have he hasn't been that great, guess we'll have too see!

 

With regards to Sanchez, I don't think it's a case of him becoming worse since joining Barca. I feel his style simply isn't suited to them. He's fast, direct etc whereas Barca prefer the short passing game.

I would definitely like Sanchez at LFC.

But if Sanchez doesnt suit Barca would he suit us? I know we dont play exactly like Barca. We have Coutinho and Gerrard's long passing for example. But we still focus on the passing.

 

To be fair, most of current's squad would walk into our team at the moment. If they're good enough for the best team in the world then they're certainly good enough for us. Would be a good option and certainly better than Downing in the wide right position. Probably cost quite a bit and high on wages though. Also no CL and would think teams in Italy would be interested in him giving how well he did there previously.

 

I think he would - he would play on the wings of the front 3 and attack with pace.

Brendan wanted to play tika taka but as the season progressed, he adapted and changed his ways which made us more penetrative. Sanchez would definitely suit us playing as LW or RW.

Definitely. Not saying he's a target or anything but I wouldn't mind him.

However, I'm liking the new transfer committee and their approach. We're not targeting the biggest names in the world - we're going after the top prospects. To be fair, we did the same with the likes of Torres, Mash, Alonso, Suarez - highly respectable names at the time we signed them but weren't considered world class until they left Liverpool.

We seem to have lost that since Rafa left (or since the money dried up) but the signings of Coutinho and Sturridge and given me a lot of faith in the committee. We're now linked with the likes of Papadopolous, Henrikh, Lamela and Muriel - whether we get them is a completely different thing altogether, but at least they are young, talented and have huge potential.

It wasn't long ago since we signed Cole, Adam, Carroll, Downing and linked with Dempsey and Carlton Cole.
