Would you prefer... We're little Southampton and we know our place as cannon fodder.. ? What does it take for some people to see a positive..? We know there's a dollop of BS in it. No more and no less than from other clubs. Cortese keeps on encouraging people to buy into the dream, so how many more ways does he have to say it before you might credit that he has some genuine ambition. Take your head out of your hands and enjoy some of this.
Finding the video cheesy and over the top does not mean you don't buy into Cortese's vision, if it were any club that released the video most people on here would find it rather cringe-worthy
I'm proud my club want to go places and deliver that message to me in a modern, marketing method. It says "ambitious club" to me. It's so British to knock something or somebody that shows enthusiasm and belief in what they want to achieve. By the way, Saintsfan4life, I've noticed you've "liked" these posts, yet no comment from you. You really seem to have a problem with Mr Cortese; he never seems to be able to please you. Is it still the program sellers or the Nigel sacking? I think you need to realise what this man wants to achieve, oh and be careful for what you may wish for.
Well, I have to say I enjoyed it. I'm suffering from withdrawal and it certainly made me excited for the new season. In doing so, it has achieved what it set out to.
This video is a bit OTT but it don't half make me proud to be a Saint! NC should play this clip (minus the season ticket pack bit) to any prospective new signings!

Exactly, it's pretty tragic that people who think that Cortese or the club have done something poor are almost deemed traitors.
The thing I got from the DVD (thanks for posting it) was that Cortese is fully on board and for him his dream continues.
Oh of course, the program sellers ... yes! Of course! No, I simply liked them to agree with them ... I had nothing more to say, and I'm not going to simply post "I agree" or "This" It's only the fact I feel the video is OTT and cheesey, it's nothing to do with "buying into the vision" as people call it. MMJ got it spot on further up the thread.
What it says to me is that Nicola and Mauricio believe that Saints will continue the rapid progress on and off the pitch this coming season. If you don't believe that this will happen, then the DVD will seem ridiculous. If you accept that we are going to have a great season, then it's perfectly reasonable. I liked it, but then I think that there is no limit to the ambition of the club at present. Now where did I put those sandals?
Holy ****, that was vomit inducing. Anyone who supports a club based mainly upon "a vision" needs a bloody good hiding in my book. But I won't be totally negative, as I know it makes some of you cry, I did really like the..... font on the front of the season ticket folder thingy. Nice font that.
I also think the video was over the top but its just marketing crap so I won't get too bothered by it. I fully accept Cortese is ambitious and has a vision but I've always questioned to some extent whether his ambition is realistic or achievable. This video is just talk and talk is cheap. I'll make judgments on the club's achievements and ambition based on its actions not its marketing videos.
I like my Chairman to be ambitious and not know his place. After 4 years, we are approaching our second season in the PL. He's alright by me.
