Against Blackpool, we should sing 'Championship, you're having a laugh', but only when we are 3.0 up!
St Godders I don't get you at all. Pompey have always been our local rivals and always will be. The only pity for me is that we usually meet when when is on the up and the other on the way down. Did they worry when they beat us at St Mary's last time even though we were well below them? No they rejoiced and so will we when we gain the upper hand.
Looking forward to Coventry away. Was at Uni. ( well, Polytechnic in those days) about 30 years ago and I've never managed to get there since.
As I don't get to make a choice and it's any game I'm free for, I look forward to all games. The only difference this year is that when they publish the fixture list, I'm going to make sure I'm on holiday for the last home game of season. Gutted I missed that. Even without promotion it will be a great day. See, I'm not even considering the 'R' word.
Anyone want to guess how many we will get average at St Marys next season ??... the atmosphere is improved so much when near capacity
The moment I saw the Hudders team sheet, I said there was only one outcome. Yet again Clark plays a negative 4-5-1 (and yet has FOUR strikers on the bench). Yet again the 1 striker that he picks is the useless Afobe (one of the worst finisheres that I have ever seen - and when you're a lone striker, it is generally required that you can put the ball in the net).
Just proves to me how good it was not to be in play-offs. What a sickener for the losing team. Hudds did well, but coming third doesn't guarantee anything. They nearly went out to Bournemouth previously which shows what a lottery this is.
Probably about 25,000 which is a good gate for the Championship, but we will have more full houses next season.
Shame that Udders got so near yet so far, glad we were not involved in the play off lottery, we could so easily have fallen at the same hurdle. No doubt Chappers will be telling Fergie to keep his hair again next season!
I think attendance depends on a number of things, for instance who we sign over the summer, and how the results go. And Today's result shows why you want to avoid the play-offs at all costs. But to be fair, every side knows the rules at the start of the season so fair dinkum as far as Peterbrough are concerned.
I totally agree with you on that one. I was willing them to go down on the last day so we could give him a repeat of that song!
West Ham away. At the moment (their 3-0down) Reading and of course it will be great to tell Holloway that he's 'havin a laugh' if he thinks they're good enough for the premier league.....
Well I'll be living in Derby, so Derby, Leicester and Forest away are the obvious choices. Also West Ham and Leeds as they're massive clubs. Don't see the big deal about Blackpool tbh. It's a bit petty to hold a grudge over a few silly comments.
