Aren't promotional videos ment be over the top? Or instead of aiming for the top maybe our slogan should be "we will survive"
Think its massively cringe and over the top. Not having a go though fair if people like it, just not really my style.
I enjoyed it...it shows the ambition of the club. It seems over the top because we are still thinking small. Cortese is thinking global. I don't know if he can achieve what he wants, but this dvd gives us a clue to his thinking. He is excited for our club, so we should be as well.
Just because a person has brought something doesn't mean the owners/ Cortese will stop promoting their vision. It's to show fans Saints actually have a ambition instead of the old survival will do crap. You may not like how Saints have gone about promoting it but you can't argue it shows passion. Which we have lacked for many years before we were brought out.(apart from the fans of course)
Regardless, I think the fact that you buy your ST and get a pack, a video, a letter from the chairman etc. is a lot nicer than them taking your money and just shoving you a ticket - and that being that. Of course the ticket is all you really care about, but the little perks can make people feel appreciated.
I think it's great, though a small part of me expected a Hobbit to pop up and present me with my season ticket, or possibly Mel Gibson shouting about "Freedom".......
The pack looks pretty smart and good quality. A far cry from Rupert's cheap plastic book bunged in an envelope with a compliment slip. It maybe OTT, but I enjoyed it and it got me looking forward to the season ahead, which is what it's designed to do. Who cares what other fans think . We're a club with big dreams and the confidence to go for them
If it was a similar video promoting Spurs or Chelsea or Brighton or Gillingham, l would think this gross or laughable. Packaging will always be packaging... Tells you nothing of substance.. Tasteless, senseless, cheap and tacky; the type of crap dreamed up at management away days for the gullible.
