Andy King won't leave. Nigel defo doesn't want to lose him Beckford, Danns and St. Ledger might interest you though
There's no such thing as "King won't leave". Beckford is a natural goal scorer, not many around, and it's simply down to Pearson's poor management that he wasn't a success at Kung Poo. Financially Leicester desperately needed promotion, let's see if they are willing to flash the cash and gamble some more. Can't afford another failed campaign.
Beckford attitude and lazy work ethic has cost him here. Nigel Pearson gave him 3/4 of a season to change and he didnt
Lazy work ethic? Clearly you don't understand Beckford. He's not going to charge around and chase back, that's not his game. Give him the ball in the box and he'll do the business. Funny how he got goals at Huddersfield to save them. He's costing Leicester a lot of money, Pearson needs to take his blinkers off and play to his strengths.
Just to let you know, your top goalscorer this season was David Nugent with 16 goals. Beckford scored 15 goals in his first season with you He then scored 9 goals for huddersfield in what was basically less than half a season of appearances for them, not to mention he got double figures in his only season in the premier league. I can understand if you wouldn't want him in your first team but I don't know how a championship team can be so desperate to get rid of a player like that especially considering that I have seen many on your board wanting another striker, no offense but your back-up strikers are **** for a club that has spent the money you have but your getting rid of Beckford. That to me would make me question your manager's abilities to control and get the best out of players. Admittedly some players are just too far gone but Beckford has proved that he is more than capable
Your forgetting about Chris Wood. Ended the season with over 20 goals 11 for us Beckford has more negatives then positives. We are better off without him
Paint it any colour you want, key thing is Beckford is the most natural scorer at your club yet Pearson behaves like a noob towards him - poor manager. Woods started to unravel when the chips were down, his lack of temperament under pressure is a real concern!! I say again, massively expensive squad, expect Foxes to completely implode if not promoted in 2014. Will your owners plough in a pile of cash in this window to add to the squad, or is Nigel forced to sell first? Either way, its genuinely promotion or bust now for your once proud club.
Beckford is too lazy, bad attitude, blames everyone else on the pitch and he isnt as good as he thinks he is. Remember you lot only seen him in League 1. Matty Fryatt scored 3 goals the year we went down and 32 in league 1. That just shows the standard We have goals in the team here already with Nugent, Wood, King and Knockaert We will look for more firepower but Beckford is not the answer
I'm not forgetting about Chris Wood, good striker but you only have him as your only good striker at the club, nugent is half decent I give you that but you can't rely on those two for a full season. After them two you have no one who can provide you any quality up front.
Saying that Cardiff and Hull just got promoted with no decent strikers and Crystal Palace only had 1 striker
Morison a quality striker, and could get 15 goals, are you loaning him out to Barnet ? only place he will look quality and score 15 goals
I would love for us to get Morison's confidence back as well so that we have 3 quality championship strikers you for 1 Next season Beckford would get 20+ for us, i'd be surprised (pleasantly mind) if Morison could manage 15! 15
We had Aluko, Boyd & Gedo and Cardiff had Campbell. Only reason all 3 didn't reach high tally's was the amount of time they were available/at their respective clubs. And who's Palace's 1 striker? Murray, Philips or Wilbraham? You can discount the latter but certainly not the first 2.
that conversation was days ago mighty keep up And plus didn't he score more than 15 goals for you in a season at championship level?
Yeah Wilbraham and his 0 goals. Phillips scored a few not many None of your strikers or Cardiffs made double figures. So it proves my point
So scoring no goals means your not a striker? No, it just means you're a **** striker. Phillips scored 6 goals in 14 games (many as a substitute) including the goals that got them into the play-offs and the goal that got them promoted, but I guess none of that's significant either. How does it? By their stats Gedo, Boyd, Aluko and Campbell all would've easily got double figures if they'd been available for their respective clubs a full season. In terms of goals per game or per minute someone like Gedo's record was far, far better than Nugent's, yet he's not 'decent' because he only played 12 games, most as a sub? Jordan Henderson got more goals than Coutinho this season, I guess Henderson is decent and Coutinho isn't, don't worry about the small matter of Henderson playing about three times as many games ...
I wouldn't bother explaining to a Leicester fan about good, goal scoring strikers - they still hero worship Emile Heskey
The "goal that got them promoted" was a penalty which is not really pertinent to this conversation. Besides which, we all know that players have a very high percentage probability of scoring from a penalty, unless they are English, of course!
