He did show the odd glimmer of quality, but then again he was attacking a **** English defense

Stupid hair cut, clearly thinks he's special.
He does look like one of those players who is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is. Time will tell but I honestly can't see him adding a thing to Barca with Villa leaving.

I know who I would rather, regardless of if he's past his best.

So, after watching him for one game, and dont pretend you've been following his career cos I'll just laugh at your lies, you know more than Barcelona's scouts and a lot of people who actually work within the game that say he is very talented? you are the sort that probably said Messi wouldn't be able to do it on a cold night v stoke

Barcelona buy overrated players with no real talent? people who know their trade and are excellent developers of players went out and got fooled into buying someone who is average?

You are saying that they have not watched this lad who is quite young and raw, and thought **** it we'll just take a punt and hope?

    You sir are an idiot.

Ruff, he's a a young lad, what the **** are you talking about, he can't be blamed for what others say about him, and he is talented but I would say a very raw product.

    I know.
Got a lot to prove and at the moment doesn't look anywhere near his reputation.

Did you just choose to ignore the 'time will tell' bit?

    We will see.

To be fair it's hardly Neymar's fault the press have turned him into the next Pele / Messi / Ronaldo hybrid. I think any young lad would struggle not to have that go to his head a wee bit, particularly in Brazil where the fans practically insist on players having that kind of swagger.

He's going to find it tough to keep his feet on the ground in Europe, but as with all these 'most overrated' arguments, it all depends on how much you listen to the press, whose job is basically to overhype every young player with a bit of talent in an effort to sell more rags.

  10. Neymar will be the next Ronaldinho; he will be a superstar for Barca but it will be a short period of about four or five years <ok>

Neymar is exceptionally talented, but I predict he'll pan out more like a light weight Nani. Brilliant on his day but **** every day between.

Neymar is supposedly going to go on an emulate Pele whilst being better than Messi and Ronaldo.

Given that he is vastly inferior to those players when they where his age do you honestly think he will reach those levels? No ****ing chance.

From what I've seen of Neymar he is an average player at best. Even if he does go on to have a successful career he will never reach the level many say he will.

do you remember Ronaldo when he arrived, 20 stopovers and no end product? And what is he now because he got better and better and even better when he left United.
look at the vid, there is more than a resemblance to the young Ronaldo in the way he plays except more end product than the young Ronnie and if you ask me he's got as much skill as Ronnie did at that age.
You talk as if the guy just cant improve on the player he is now which is totally silly tbh, if the guy was just signed by United I have no doubt most of you would say he will be some player in a few years.

the first goal is ****ing brilliant

I thought Neymar looked very good against England. Yes, he's very ball-greedy and has much to learn, but I believe that's why he's moved to Barcelona; to broaden and improve his game. He is definitely World Class material in the making and will be one to watch in the coming years. I still believe that Eden Hazard is better than Neymar though IMHO, much smarter, and approaches the game in a more sophisticated and mature way.

Neymar is make or break at Barca really. Let's see what happens.

Oscar for me was very good for Brazil and the only reason England even got a look-in was because he went off.

Wow, youtube. That proves everything <laugh>

If Neymar becomes as good as Messi and Ronaldo, and manages to emulate Pele I will eat my own balls.

I thought first half he just shot on sight instead of trying to play in a team mate, which would have been the better option.

2nd half you'd swear he'd been taken off at half time. Completely anonymous.
