Well said. I've just been avin a go at Mike White for his smug pisstaking! This made me Laff, tho! @mattdeanradio: Amused to hear Mark Chamberlain missed his lad's goal against Brazil as he nodded off whilst watching the game!
FT 2-2 A few thoughts: 1. England improved greatly in the second half, but we still struggle to hold the ball under pressure. I would have liked to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain start. 2. Phil Jones looked better at RB than Glen Johnson. That really should be the last time we see Glen in an England shirt. He probably would not have played if Walker wasn't injured. 3. Neymar still hasn't convinced me. I have a feeling he never will. Overrated? Just a bit... 4. Joe Hart isn't world class according to some people commenting on this board recently. What a load of crap, the man proved tonight why he is world class. 5. Brazil will not win the World Cup. If anything, they should be more concerned about this result than anyone else. Their fans expect them to win the WC next year. God help them. 6. ITV really need to be stripped of their coverage of football. Overall, I think the result was brilliant. A win would not have been a travesty at all. Got to give them credit for surviving that torrid first half to earn a draw. A great night for Hart and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Agree with all points made especially No.6 The result was a good one, I have to say, particularly because the performance/play improved. I think Brazil will likely be a different proposition come the World Cup though.
quite enjoyed the 2nd half. totally agree with Macca regarding Johnson, he should be 3rd choice behind Walker and Micah Richards. Walcott blows hot and cold in an England shirt.
Good second half & result after coming from behind Alex Oxlade Chamberlain shouldn't be asking for Neymar's shirt before the end of the game if at all. Keep the shirt you scored in. Argentina to win the W/C in the Maracana - Brazil can't handle it, as we saw in the Olympic final vs Mexico.
Walcott doesn't blow hot and cold, he blows cold and ****ing freezing. He's never an England player, he's not even good enough to be an Arsenal player. Johnson, Walcott and Milner should not be playing for England, not unless I can get a game too.
Johnson's ****, Walcott's ****, Milner's ****, Carrick's ****, Cahill's **** Oh, and I know I'll be attacked for saying it, but too many black players in the team as well
A few points: Tommy - what makes you think Brazil are such an awesome force? You're about 10 years out of date there which is unlike you. Like many national teams, they've got players who are 'alright' in the PL making their side every game. Nothing special. As I keep saying, Spain are a cut above and the rest of us are all sort of equal. That said I'm getting a bit frustrated with England's game plan in recent months which seems to be to just not concede. It's boring and inevitablty leads to us conceding every time. The way Brazil's defenders were allowed to stroke the ball around uninterrupted in our half was embarrassing. Get the **** into 'em, it's what they did to us and we couldn't cope with it at times. I'm not an England basher at all and it irritates me when everyone is so keen to bash the team. One thing that really is pissing me off is that half our team seem to be injured every game. The likes of Johnson, Milner and others might not get so many games if the better players were ever fit. Other countries don't seem to have this problem. Is it the clubs pressurising them to not play or is it down to the physicality and speed of the PL? I don't know but this is one of England's biggest problems in recent years and it needs sorting desperately. The squad that went to the last Euros was practically a reserve side.
Too many black players? I think it's a ****ing outrageous thing say as well as being unbelievable. Erik is one racist mo fo, we all know that but I didn't think you were in for all that nonsense.
Think its a little unfair of the criticism of Milner and Walcott. Yes Milner doesn't add to the team to be honest, but you need players like him who put a shift in, and he did work his socks off and kept Dani Alves quiet. Walcott, I never understand why he plays as a winger because he isn't one. Put him upfront and score goals, the more touch or time on the ball the worse for him. Johnson, seems to be terrible especially defending and marking his opponent. I think if we can have a bit of creativity in the middle of the park like when the ox came on it suits us better. We won't win anything either until we have a proven goalscorer, instead of depending on Rooney.
Half of them are only picked because they're black and the FA want to keep the 'everyone's racist' knobheads happy And I'm not that racist
Those of you unhappy of ITVs coverage will be pleased to know BBC, Sky and BTSport are all going to be bidding for the next FA Cup contract and the latter two bidding for the Champions League contract. Shame ITV have just won the contract to all England games outside of the major tournaments.
