I have just been listening to the from-the-rookery-end podcast..... and found it very reassuring. Mind you I have still not watched the highlights of the Final The podcast ended with the five good things about Watford this year.... What are yours ? Here are my thoughts. 5. Great Italian owners with vision with some great loanees coming in 4. Deeney making good 3. GFZ such a great guy 2. The Leicester play-off game 1. Real hope for next year.
1. The takeover 2. Zola 3. Our team 4. Some very special goals 5. Those last minutes v Leicester in the play offs.
1 Getting rid of Baz 2 Takeover by the Pozzo's 3 Zola 4 Attractive attacking football 5 Hope for the future
I know what you mean. I had the whole of the 1984 Cup Final recorded on video cassette (remember them?) for over 20 years and never watched a single minute of it. Why I kept it so long I never knew. Only when we went back in 1999 did the hurt ease......... 5 best things: Takeover & financial stability The football that was played Zola Vydra Deeney
I only watched the highlights from Monday yesterday. I thought it actually looked better than on Monday. Not so one-sided, the chances at the end, a possible red card for Palace not given etc...the ball just seemed to run more for them and not for us (Deeney's close range chance an example). It just about made me feel better about the whole thing rather than worse...give it a try. This season: Zola's grace in interviews Not knowing who anyone was at the beginning, and by the end, realising just what some of those unknowns could do (Adbi, Vydra, FF) That Leicester game Arriving at Wembley Park - I could hardly take it all in! I went to four games! The most for a few years (well, I couldn't miss Leeds, Leicester 2nd leg and Wembley, could I!)
Not in order. 1. Baz is gone and we didn't get a points deduction. 2. We have financial security under the Pozzos 3. Zola 4. Doyley was our most improved player 5. Play off against Leicester. You could almost make this a list of ten - there were so many highlights.
1. Neatness, class and consistency of Abdi and Cassetti 2. Chalobah's ability to turn into space with the ball and some of his long range accurate passing 3. Vydra's finishing 4. Forestieri's enthusiasm (though not his comedy dives) 5. Almunia's presence (in both senses) in goal
1. Zola 2. Pozzo's 3. Finishing 3rd 4. Attractive Football 5. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2Mvi2Gi_6w
Finding the 01923 number for the ticket office. 40 secs Vs Leicester. Finding tap water is on offer thus saving £2 a shot. Realising my card will get me in any entrance. Keeping Bill Mainwood going. Bella Italia. Doyley at Wembley...
1. Getting rid of Baz 2. Shear class of Zola 3. Shear class of some of the players brought in 4. Shear class of the football we played at times 5. New pitch 6. Them up the M1 finishing closer to a relegation place than a play-off place - and long amy their progress continue!
