Twenty minutes of embarrassment thus far. As per BCC's comments the other week Glen Johnson is utter ****, as is Walcott. I also genuinely believe if Clive Tyldelsey was given permission to perform felatio on Danny Alves he'd run down from the commentary box, burst onto the pitch, pull down Alves' shorts and would chug away. Even if it was in the centre circle and live on telly. He wouldn't give a ****. Also Naymar looks like he should be playing in red.
It was really expected after the horror show against Ireland in all honesty. Either that or we would completely maul Brazil and be typical England.
really can't see Neymar fitting in at Barca, looks like a right selfish little twat. also, the ball looks ****.
Agreed – it’s ****ing ****. Must be about 80% possession to Brazil. And it’s the lack of ability to do the basics which is embarrassing. Can’t pass, can’t keep possession. Shockingly, I bet on BTTS in this game – I doubt England will even have a shot. Hodgson will come out and say he was happy with the performance regardless which will go unchallenged by the ITV ****s. Hate Tyldesley.
Typical England fan. They're much, much better than we are. We can't help that the players they call upon are better than ours. Neymar's far superior to Walcott, Luis Gustavo is much better than Milner and Paulinho is a real quality midfielder. That doesn't make us ****, it just makes us not as good as Brazil. At best we'll be attacking on the counter, but for the first 25 minutes we didn't even touch the ball. Julio Cesar must be bored off his tits.
Hart has been our best player in the first half. The others look second best in their positions. It can't get any worse , can it?
Obviously they've been the better team, but we improved towards the end of the half, Hart's been great, Rooney's had no service but when he has had the ball, he's looked very good. Not sure how Milner keeps getting selected, he's a decent club player, but is nowhere near an international. We're lucky to come in even, but we could still nick it(let's hope Walcott gets injured).
If you don't concede goals you don't lose games, simple. It's not pretty or particularly entertaining but I'd take a draw with Brazil away any day of the week.
It's so frustrating every time Milner is selected... He's a ****ing donkey. I don't even rate him at Club Level.
Should anyone have expected anything else? This is Brazil we are playing. Hart has been head and shoulders above every other England player. I wonder what those twats who said he wasn't great are thinking now... Bring on Chamberlain for Milner.
Can see your logic mate but it's a friendly. Personally, I'd rather us play well (or even just pass the all for a bit) and lose; then scrape out a meaningless 0-0 in a friendly against Brazil. Ireland players celebrated the draw against us in the last friendly - let's keep our dignity and see things for what they are.
O/T from Brazil vs England, but is anyone else watching USA vs Germany? It's currently USA 4-1 Germany.
ITV's coverage of football is absolutely awful. **** picture, **** sound, **** commentary, **** punditry...
Well, I'm not sure why people think England not beating Brazil is a total disaster? They're a different class to us. Your typical England fan thinks that we should be winning every time and dominating all games. There's nothing wrong with optimism but to say we're playing **** isn't really fair, we just aren't as good as Brazil (which when you think about it, is asking quite a lot). That's just what I garnered from your post there, if I misinterpreted it I apologise. Teams like Spain, Brazil and Germany are much better than we are, so when we play them it's no surprise that there are long periods when we won't get close to touching the ball. Agree with OLM about Milner, not sure why he justifies an England call up. Still, at least it's not Downing.
