Hope you are all sitting down .................... Ok, get this, Joey Barton wants to coach. Looks like Di Canio might have some competition in the future, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ts-coach-enrolling-UEFA-A-licence-course.html Bad boy Barton wants to coach after enrolling in UEFA course run by Irish FA By CHRIS WHEELER PUBLISHED: 20:41 GMT, 31 May 2013 | UPDATED: 20:44 GMT, 31 May 2013 7 shares 0 View comments Joey Barton has taken his first steps on the path to becoming a football coach by enrolling in a UEFA A licence course being run by the Irish FA in Belfast next week. Barton, 30, has signed up for the nine-day course at Stranmillis University College and Newforge Lodge in Belfast along with Irish players like David Healy and Aaron Hughes. The prospect of arguably the most outspoken and confrontational character in English football turning to coaching at the end of his career will interest those who have been singled out for criticism by Barton over the years. Future: Joey Barton has set his sights on coaching after enrolling in a UEFA A licence Blast: Barton savaged the tactics of Neil Warnock The QPR midfielder, who has spent the last season on loan at Marseille, savaged the tactics of his own manager Neil Warnock on Twitter last year and compared him to comedy football boss Mike Bassett after Warnock was sacked at Loftus Road. Barton tweeted: 'If I talked about Neil, he'd do well to get another job. Lost his job and the guy is blaming everyone but himself! Embarrassing, time to look in the mirror mate. 'Looking forward to the game against Wigan tomorrow. First time in a while we actually have a plan and seem organised.' The one-time England international has been involved in a catalogue of controversies throughout his career, most recently on Twitter. He hoped for a fresh start after moving to France when he was banned for 12 games and fined £75,000 by the English FA a year ago, but landed himself in more trouble recently when he called Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva 'an overweight ladyboy'. Barton made 30 appearances for Marseille, scoring once. His loan ended after last weekend's final game against Reims but he wants to make a permanent move to the French club. 'For the first time in my life I'm very happy, really content,' he said. 'I get the impression my work here isn't finished yet. The French and the fans haven't seen the true Barton. I expect more from myself. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ling-UEFA-A-licence-course.html#ixzz2UvRKniKb Follow us: @MailOnline on Twitter | DailyMail on Facebook
In his first day on the course JB got sent home having got caught having a *** behind the bike shed, sitting at the back of the class all day making paper planes, and finally head butting the teacher when asked what he had to contribute. A UEFA spokesman later said: "We genuinely hope Joey sorts himself out and comes back to the course as we desperately need new coaches like him in our ongoing campaign to ruin the English game."
I hear that he has done well on the "How to start a fight in a room consisting of yourself and blaming others for starting it"
Must keep an eye out for him. Maybe ask him for his autograph....on his P45. If any stories are doing the rounds, I'll let you know lads.
Barton vs Di Canio. That might actually be worth watching. How would you engineer it? Apart from the obvious solution of having them in opposing dugouts when one of our elite refs cocks it up. That would light the fuse nicely. My money would be on JB.
Barton could easily be a coach, with the size of his gob, you could get at least 52 ****ing seats in!
Barton wants to coach ... I bet he bloody does! ... He is bloody adored in France may I add. The trouble with JB he doesn't know much about football or anything really .. He mind is very closed and isn't as wise as he believes
