Coley is a very under rated fish, Saithe is its real techical name, commonly known darn south as Rock Salmon. Still prefer Haddock though to be honest.

I'm a Haddock man myself John. Can't ever remember eating Cod growing up in Hull. Me Grandad used to say the reason was that all the Cod that landed at the docks went to Food manufactures.

It feels good to be in the Prem ;)

I suppose Bun in the Oven was just a short walk away. Probably was pre LA's thoigh. Almost certainly Bodrum across the road.

That is true to a point, a lot of the Cod was salted "at the Cod Farm" end of St Andrews dock. Though in the sixties Cod started to be bought in larger quantities by Birds eye, Ross Group Findus etc to make fish fingers etc, but Haddock still remained the fish most used in the Hull area for fish and chips.

I was wondering what was missing from the main page.

It's nothing to do with being on the PL board, it seems to have disappeared from everywhere. I know the site owner Mick is messing with the site as we speak and said we might get some errors, so it's probably down to that. It'll be back.

It's quite unlikely we'll be mauling you any time soon, but we get quite upset (well I do anyway) when people go on about 'Mauled by the Tigers' as if it's something embarrassing to us. It's just a daft joke that for some reason, no one seems to get, particularly darn sarf!

I just don't like it aha.. Also the arm movement that goes with it... Not a fan mate!

Hopefully you won't be mauling us but I'm really unsure as to how you do next season. You have to spend a fair bit imo.

That's the point <doh>

Everyone for some reason thinks it's about genuinely doing our best to look like real tigers. We're well aware that we aren't tigers in reality. It's just a silly little thing...

I have a lot of faith in the team we've come up (although we have lacked a decent striker for about 5 years) but as you say, we'll need to spend a bit simply because the competition is so good. You look at teams like Fulham and Sunderland who weren't far off relegation with really good squads and it's clear how tough a league it is.

Yeah we understand why people think that it's camp, but that is the whole point of it. We are taking the piss out of ourselves in true British style. But yeah don't worry about it as I don't think we will maul you lot however long we manage to stay up.

i think the Established Prem team fans no longer see the irony , and that fans can take the piss out of themselves - heaven forbid !!
I think its probably got all too serious for the "big boys" haha lets face it they can't enjoy European success , a top 3 finish without moaning all the time .
Same for the other moaning sods in Blue !

If it agreed to live without its skeleton, I’d consider it.

Selfish **** is too bony.

Why does it need so many ****ing bones?

Fish fingers don't have any bones – should take a leaf.
