that's like the kettle calling the pot , I agree it was a daft offer however you did exactly the same thing with Stewart
Stewart was never worth more then the 1.5M we offered. In hindsight we offered too much. Especially when we got Ben Marshall for half the price who is alot better then Stewart You pathetic offers for Kasper wont get you nowhere and you waiting for the price to come down then you will have a long wait. Either pay up or it dont happen, and thats even if we will sell to you and IF Kasper wants to sign for you, I still cant see it happening
you will be changing your avatar if it does ? And at the time Stewart had been playing well for a while and was worth more than your stupid offers . Your a typical football fan we always seem to price our players a lot higher than there actually worth
The thing is, football club owners don't think like that. They are the ones who would have to wave goodbye to millions of pounds just pander to the arrogant attitude that "a player would never dare want to leave our wonderful club". Like I said a couple of weeks ago, Schmeichel is gone. whether to us or to another club of higher stature than Lesster, he's history for you.
That's the crux of it. Forget all the shyte players come out with in the press, anyone who believes that is as thick as Proud_fox. If he really wants to stay and is not interested in what he can get elsewhere, how come he hasn't agreed a new contract?
I didn't think this deal would happen, but based on the mail article today, I suspect that £2.5m will probably see the deal done.
You better go for Butland then Strov - you dont want an inferior keeper now do you? Every player has a price, and all players want to play at the highest level they can. Will our owners turn down a good offer from Hull cos of what happened a year ago - I dont think so. There are plenty of good keepers out there that we could go for that would cost less than we sell for, and be on lower wages. Kasper is a good keeper but he is a long way off Banks, Shilton or Wallington. Every team will want the highest possible transfer fees they can get cos of the FFP, especially clubs in the Championship and below. Good luck if you make an offer, but make it a good one. The Tory rag that OLM quotes, I wouldnt wrap a bag of chips in.
That offer for Stewart tells you more about Square Head's ability to evaluate a players worth than it does about our club - he made the offer, remember
I can see you getting a player as well as a fee, i really wouldn't be suprised if it was Fryatt to be honest, i can't remember if Pearson was a fan of Cairney when he was here, maybe someone like that could do a job for you next season.
Didn't think you lot needed any new players - especially not up front - or maybe you're suggesting a straight swap for Schmeichel??
You would still have to add some cash if you wanted to swap. Apart from Wood and Nugent none of our strikers can score. We need to get Beckford off the books first As soon as Beckford, Danns, Wellens, Gallagher and St. Ledger are off the books the stronger position we will be in with regards to Kasper
Fryatt would be a great addition to your squad, id rather have Fryatt waiting in the wings than Waghorn or Vardy if Nugent and Wood were struggling to find the net again, ive not been all that impressed with Schlupp in all honesty when ive seen him on tv recently, very strong but some of his finishing was poor.
