Very interesting. Maybe mouthy spuds like captain numbnuts in the video should learn about the history of his own club, before spouting crap about others.

Not really very wise for those Spurs players to be photographed posing with guns in my opinion. But then they have a tradition of pap shots with their players in various stages of self and club humiliation. The amount of times their captain Ledley King was papped coming out of a nightclub at 3am with piss stained trousers trying to start a fight, they are probably used to it now.

Very rich coming from a team thats had what is it now, FOUR name changes, Dial Square Royal Woolwich and whatever combination of those. Found this aswell...not content with the one you have now, you tried to change it AGAIN!

"The Arsenal Football Club Limited to Arsenal Football Club Limited

This happened mid-season in November 1919. See Peter Mason’s website for the two programmes that show the transition. Tony debunked the story that Herbert Chapman had something to do with this in the previous article.

    London FC

During the 1930s the club considered chaging its name to London FC. This idea was short lived as it was thought that the club may be considered arrogant. I don’t have the date of when this happened but it is in the Islington Gazette."

    Well, they got that right!

Ah, sorry this was the comment you were bleating on about that you thought I'd ignored.
I often gloss over your comments so I must have missed this one, apologies <ok>

Anyway, yes it's a well known fact that Arsenal started out as Dial Sq, then became Royal Arsenal and eventually Woolwich Arsenal. Names all linked to our roots at the Royal Artillery barracks at Woolwich. Spurs don't really have the same legitimacy to the origin of their name though, as Hotspur FC laid claim to that title some years before THFC were formed from the Cricket club of the same. It's just an interesting historical piece of info, but I wonder had they known that at the time, they might have chosen a different name, perhaps relating to the cricket club.

Who knows. . you could have ended being called Tottenham golden ducks and you might be wearing a duck on your shirts as opposed to a cock.

Obviously not boring enough to ignore it then<whistle>

It's only got legs cos HIAG was really serious about his crystal ball'n and those legs were given some energy by the denials that it was serious crystal ball'n, and was just tongue in cheek.

So NASA confirms your European away form was bad because of 1 and 2 hour time differences, is it on their website?

    That's a strange response.

    1) If someone is boring, don't you ask them to shut up?
    2) There must be a stage when however much someone deserves abuse, eventually it is enough. Whatever you think about HIAG, we are way, way beyond enough now.
    3) WTF???

One club coincidentally sharing another clubs name does not make those two clubs directly related.

"Hotspur" was a suffix commonly used for old sports clubs and sports-based organisations, as it does in fact mean someone that is hot-headed, giving the impression that the given club is fast-paced and energetic.
