It follows a long standing investigation into the transfers of Laudrup and the Georgian striker Shota Arveladze to Ajax in 1997 and allegations of irregular payments to the pair. Ajax agreed a settlement in 2005, including a 500,000 euro fine, with the public prosecutor to avoid tax evasion charges and paid around 5.8 million euros to the Dutch tax authority, a sum later reduced on appeal last year. Ajax has been attempting to get money back from the two players. Two years ago they made a bid to seize Arveladze's assets in the Netherlands. Laudrup was not immediately available to comment. Its been on going for years and ajax have only paid over £5 million in fines, they have been trying to get laudrup for a while but he has no assets in the Netherlands to seize....He allegedly took illegal payments...naughty boy..

Ofcourse it's a relevant post! And a really old story - dates back to the late 90's. It goes through the media every second summer in Denmark. Laudrup's never going to pay them... What more to it is that Ajax partially must have given up ever getting the money. This time they put an advert in dutch newspaper De Telegraaph... Haven't seen the actual article - but doing a thing like that - what do they expect? BTW. I Thought there was no censorship here. Hope I can post negative posts on Swansea here too.
