I wonder where you get your info from ? You keep saying theres no money on the table , Huw not parting with the cash etc etc . we're all in the dark and thats how it should be ,I like to think the Board / Managet have more integrity than to spout our business all over the press .Unless there's something to say then it's best not saying nothing at all.

MICHAEL Laudrup is growing increasingly frustrated over Swansea City's failure to deliver the signings he wants.
The Swansea manager has made it clear to the club's board of directors that he feels there is a need to spend big in the transfer market this summer if his squad are to have a chance of enjoying further success next season.

And the Evening Post understands Laudrup has been left disappointed by the lack of any progress as yet in the transfer market.
Laudrup has given Huw Jenkins a list of potential attacking recruits — but believes Swansea are in danger of missing out on them.

Iago Aspas has been a long-time target for the Dane, and he had been confident of landing the Celta Vigo frontman. Say who nobody from the club has announced that he is/was a target
However, Liverpool have this week agreed a fee for Aspas and the Laudrup camp now expect him to move to Anfield.
Another player on Laudrup's wishlist, Romelu Lukaku, is now thought likely to remain at Chelsea next season. Always likely with a new manager coming in
St Etienne's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is another player Laudrup wants, but there are now fears that he will move to another club, possibly Borussia Dortmund. again nothing from the club saying we're after him and if so still a player outside our budget
And a fourth player Laudrup has earmarked as a potential recruit, Wigan's Arouna Kone, could follow Roberto Martinez to Everton if the outgoing Latics boss is appointed the new manager at Goodison Park. That is always a risk but again no announcement from the club and totally understandable
Swansea have cash available to spend in the transfer market and throughout his time as chairman, Jenkins has stressed that he will attempt to deliver the players his manager wants.
But it could be that the likes of Aubameyang, Aspas and Kone are deemed too expensive by Swansea's money men, who have always taken a careful approach when it comes to finances. Laudrup's camp would argue that Swansea's successes last season have earned him the right to splash out ahead of 2013-14, when his team will be competing in the Europa League as well as the three domestic competitions.
Issues
But at this stage, there must be doubts over whether Laudrup will still be at the Liberty helm next season given the apparent issues over transfer plans.
While he is known to be unhappy privately, publicly Laudrup insisted yesterday that he expects the Swansea board to bring in the players he wants.
He was quoted in the Danish media saying: "I'm happy to be in Swansea and I'm certain that the club's board will keep the promises they made when I extended my contract," wrote Laudrup.
"Why shouldn't they do that? It's in everyone's interests, the club's, the players', the fans'.
"It's in everyone's interests to have as strong a team as possible, within the financial constraints of the club."

What a bag of ****, I can't believe that the post continues on it's crusade of misinformation and conjecture ,there is not one quote from the manager or the club just rumours created by the press and presented by the toilet paper that clls itself the Evening Post
This is a paper which has it's own agenda

I'd love ML to stay but if he goes then so be it. The parting would only be for a very good reason and the only reason I can think of is if he grows impatient and his demands become too substantial for us.

This would most definitely cause a rift but this has NOT ans will NOT happened. ML is not the impatient type, he is intelligent, aware and his eyes are wide open.

The supposed rift is simply the machinations of lazy journos. There's been no NEW quotes from anyone at the Swans or from any friends of a friend of ML's gardners, vets, sisters, hairdresser to substatiate their views, nothing new at all.

All the journos have done is re-mixed old ingredients in different proportions and come up with a new cocktail to feed us called "journo jizz".

In the future though, whatever happens, I personally trust our board to protect our club over any manager past, present or future. Think of our board as our clubs immune system, always active, always fighting, always protecting the heart of our community from any attack.

Agree Bony, no one from the club has ever said that Aspas wasa target of ours. <ok>

The EP (sister to the western mail, mail on sunday) is re-mixing old stories sent down the line from its big mother, the Daily Mail.

Lets hope lads Jenkings don't go back on his word and the Board give M L the money he needs to strengthen the team. We all know what Jenkings is like with money,I think he would rather have say .100.mill in the bank than 15.mill, we could become another Newcastle who struggled in Europe if we don't strengthen our team. So Mr Jenkings whats it going to be stay in the Prem and make the club , Players & supporters happy or see the crowds drop down to say 8.000 and lose the respect of the Players when you cant win games and you are slipping down to the relegation area do you want the Swans to join Wigan in the championship or what. I don't think so we all know you have done well in picking new Managers the last few seasons, most of us on here like you self would ,Rather see Swansea City in the premiership for a few yrs longer we have the makings of a good team so please give Michael Laudrup some help we are not saying to go over the top with money. Did we not make a profit of 47mill what with the T V rights .and the money from the sale of Ash if he does go to Arsenal So if M L wants to say pay 20mill for players to get us in the top 6 , we all know if M L goes so will the likes of Michu, chico also the lad we are hopeing to sign soon no one will want to play for the Swans, then were will we be, so rather than play in Div2.This is our 3rd season in the top flight so please don't be a Jew and go back on your word, I know if I was in your shoes I would rather have Millions coming into the club than 1.000 s of pounds .So for the sake of Swansea City the players ,supporters please lets keep us in the Prem Ive been a supporter for over 56yrs long before your Born at least I don't think you are that old,

Think about all those reported targets and who is realistic given the other competition for their signature. Aspas => Liverpool v Swans => Big Money v Big Money if successful; Lukaku => Loan to big team (Dortmund reported)/Force way into Chelsea v Swans => No contest given money he's already on; Aubameyang => Dortmund v Swans => Big Money v Big Money if successful; Kone => Big Money with manager you already know v Big Money if successful.

There's only so far we can trade on ML's name. We do need to spend £20-30m to ensure we have a good crack at all competitions but we need to be realistic about signing big names and just spend wisely with the long term in mind. I'm sure we'll be fine and have find some gems in rough (as well as probably a Schecter)

Then you've been around long enough to know how the club operates .I've no concerns about how the club is run and to pay 20 million for one player then I really can't agree with and would say that one purchase would undo all the hard work thats been achieved to date ,lets learn to walk before trying to run .

Agree bony. I think max you spend on one player is £8m (50% increase on our previous highest purchase). No point in injecting disharmony into the squad

what part of laudrups statement dont you understand.......Aspas was the no1 target and i was confident of him signing but i have been let down by the club....the fact is huw is being a tosser and is going back on his word when he persuaded laudrup to extend his contract....If laudrup decides to walk it will be all huws fault for being such an idiot...If only we had a decent proper chairman with ambition because he is not showing any...
